I was waiting for a new page to write about this. Have any of you seen the new PPG commercial and/or the two sneak peaks for the 2016 show?
Review: This commercial and sneak peak really caught my interest. The design for the girls and all the original characters are spot on and their voice actors are actually pretty good. I can’t say much for Bubbles, however, since the commercial only has her say only one minute line in it, but still it sounds okay for her. She sounds a bit more mature rather than a squeaky voice.
The girls seem to have a new power from what the trailer shows. It is almost as if the powers come straight from green lantern corps. I will save time explaining what happened and let you watch the trailer to see for yourself. I kind of like how they are making new powers for the new PPG show.
My final thing to talk about is the design in a whole. The sneak peak shows the MANLY villain along with several hippies he is trying to destroy. The art is strikingly the same to Clarence. I do not know if anyone from that show is working on PPG, but just a thought.
Final thought: I think the show looks pretty good and has a feel like the old show had, but with a slight twist to the townsfolk and some new villains. I must say, the voice actors sounded pretty good for the girls (Sorry Tara). Overall, I think this show has potential, even though this is only a commercial and a sneak peek I feel that this show has a really good chance with me and many of the older powerpuff girls fanbase, but that’s just my opinion.
