NEK: It’s good to take a break every now and then; and I’m glad to see Nergal and Mandy

Honestly, I just hope that Minnie and Junior will end up working together, and I’m guessing Junior couldn’t go through any of these trials because he is already dead. He can’t go through pain so it’s pointless but still grim should’ve taught him how to use the scythe or any type of fighting it feels like he’s just there on the sidelines but who knows maybe in these flashbacks we’ll end up finding out more

I think the big reason for the difference though is that Minnie showed natural talent and endless potential from a young age while Junior had none whatsoever. The early chapters made a point of showing that and it was one of the reasons he resented her so much. Mandy seemed to have focused more on training Minnie because there’d be more Minnie would gain from it over Junior. As for why Grim didn’t teach Junior much, well, Grim’s not much of a fighter either.

during the last pages of chapter 6, there was a panel where Grim handed Jr a book that seems to be a beginners guide to being a reaper, maybe it takes a while for the powers to manifest like maybe the equivalent of puberty for reapers but having the nergaling gives him an alternative access to at least some of those powers like reaping souls… though Jr overall was pretty talentless so training him in anything else is somewhat of a waste of time

now this is what i am talking about! i love the idea that the only reason minnie became so talented and good at everything was due to mandy’s harsh and unforgiving training!we all assumed minnie was born the way she was: strong, powerful, talented, her mother’s daughter in almost every way, including the temper and dark charm, as we saw way back when HIM had her under his control. and that was a fine idea. not too original but it workked well enough.
but now we are shown that the minnie of the past chapters is nothing more than her mother’s creation. she saw the potential minnie had from birth and then decided to exploit her, turn her into her weapon against the underworld. whcih would in turn explain many things the past chapters left unclear. i guess things are finally turning atround for grim tales. just as i thought we would never move foreward in the story. great job!

From the looks, Junior was Minnie’s emotional support when it came to Mandy’s harsh teachings.

I’m gonna go on a limb here and believe Mandy is the reason why Minnie and the nergaling aren’t on good terms.

I really miss these characters. I hate when we spend so long without them on side plots.

Well now we know why The Nergaling hates Minnie so much, it was all Mandy’s fault.
