“You’re probably the only person who has ever shown me kindness”
Who else have you interacted with besides Minnie?

Wouldnt this negate the entire angel arc? They wouldnt let her in under the pretense of a pure soul and now being labeled as a cruel/dangerous/murderous being?

There are only a handful of characters I like in this comic. Grim, Nergal, Time Master and Aku. I’m also deeply interested in Nergal Jr but unfortunately he doesn’t get a lot of screen time but I’m sure he there is potential for him to come off as likeable. The bickering between Nergal and Grim over the legitimacy of Grim’s maternity to his children, Minnie in particular, was a perfect introduction to the neural mythos. I was very fascinated that there was a genetic lineage that literally passes on the neural history in all it’s glory just by possessing the Nergal “power”. What disappointed me was how Minnie doesn’t seem to take pride in her Nergal lineage and the focus has been on Jr now to preserve it. More so I was very disappointed to know that Nergal Jr’s history with Mandy was merely mentioned, never explored. Furthermore the relationship between Nergal Jr and Minnie isn’t hasn’t really been explored into either. I assume that Nergal Jr x Mandy pairing is influenced from their brief romance on the TV series but it’s a shame that it doesn’t have too much meaning in the comic.

Anyway This page did wonders for me. I have to say that I never really cared much for Grim Jr even after got his powers. But what is interesting to take note of is the sentience of the powers he possesses, it quickly declares it’s position as an ally and denounces Minnie as a host brutally. This was very effective in “selling” Grim Jr as a hero but more so mentioning the very easily overlooked compassion Jr has shown his powers. What this does is makes it clear without any more doubt that this story is centred around him. All of it. I quite like the fact that this confirms that the Nergal mythos is very relevant to the story as I was always intrigued. But what makes this even more interesting is that Danny Phantom’s son is a hero, when in fact Phantom himself has clearly positioned himself against the path of righteousness. This sets all the fundamental cards on the table that will confront Jr in the future in the upcoming war.

the Inner Nergal’s logic all here is pretty bad in general, buuuuuuut…..

Junior is still stupid because come on.

    Mandy’s Daughter.

    of course she’s evil.

deserting Grim Junior right now is the last thing a real friend would do.

it’s not just about his relationship with Junior, it’s about Mimi’s life.

in a complicated situation like this, if the Inner Nergal wasn’t such a monster itself,

it would stick around but shut up more if Junior made it. it would listen to Junior

to show it was being honest and everything, but it would stay available.

because it’s his frikkin super powers and he and Mimi are both unsafe now.

but most fictional stories work better when a friend acts like an idiot and

doesn’t think things through so that a really good dramatic scene can be set up.

doesnt this scene kind of negate the entirety of the angel arch, or are we just ignoring that?

Geez. I guess even demons know that hell hath no fury like a woman’s scorn. Especially one in love.
You should really listen to your inner Nergal, Junior.

The mobile experience is very important to us. We’re working behind the scenes to make it much more friendly in the immediate future.
