    People wonder why Americans don’t use the metric system for everything.

    It’s true that it’s easier to calculate the metric system and apply it to specific values, but it’s easier to judge measurements without calculation for most other things. A person can visually remember the length of a mile better than a kilometer, it’s easier for them to understand horsepower when judging cars, and it’s easier to understand teaspoon and tablespoon than…well, as you’ve seen in the above comic.
