NEK: Honestly had mixed feelings about the 2nd and 3rd movie. Especially since I saw them BEFORE I saw the first movie. I’m weird like that…

Hey guys this is my first time commenting, I’ve been following snafu comics for over six years now and Ive read every comic here.To be totally honest im a big fan of bleeds art style and i admire him a lot but his total disregard for fan views and opinions is really fucked(pardon my french).Grids im also a fan of yours and i respect your opinions and drive/passion you show towards the comic but to be honest bro you come of a little rude and jealous at times forgive me if thats offending but thats how i see it but still really admire you bro. Also @ ATHDLG i also really like your work and views you have towards stuff but you sometimes come off a little aloof like you dont give a fuck what happens, again im sorry if that ofends you but im just speaking my mind here. To conclude i just want to say that freedom of speak is a right but like most rights people violate and dont respect them so guys even if you dont like or agree with someones opinion that dosent give you the right to disregard and disrespect them. Well i hope you guys read this and if you think im acting all high and mighty(douche) thats your opinion and i respect that

Nah, dude, it’s cool. I called out Grids to appear jealous and conceited. I don’t see a problem with people calling me out, if I feel like defending myself then I defend myself.
For the aloof thing, there isn’t much I can do depending on what you mean. I don’t have any attachment with the people on here so I am pretty blunt. I seem like I don’t care what happens because I really don’t care what happens in the comic. It doesn’t effect me in the long run and I simply have fun looking at the comic because of the dark-colored art style within GT, SB, and the never updating again SkullBoy. If the comics stopped updating all together, it wouldn’t be a problem and I don’t find the new editor to be that bad either for his first time.
Speaking in legality terms of free speech, we do have a right to disregard and disrespect another person’s opinions on here. Morally speaking, of course it’s not in common ethics to disrespect and disregard another’s opinion. It’s going to happen though, because it’s the internet. It’s almost impossible to control on here. Even when people tried to control the comments on Snafu through mods, it got messy and escalated the disrespect and disregard on a few levels.
Anyway, I welcome you to Snafu. It’s currently a madhouse of cynicism and thoughtless praise in the Bleedman section so prepare yourself. Hopefully you can give your thoughts and make a few pals.

Thanks for the reply, you make a lot of sense and in some ways you’re right IT IS THE INTERNET and its filled with a lot of narrow minded people (I used a less insulting word). I really hope that’s bleeds comics go back to the way they used to be, yeah his art style has improved over the years but that shouldn’t be at the expense of the story and integrity of characters and grids is right in the old Grim tales you could tell a lot on just one page and tbh it would make you more anxious to see what happens next. Well at least you took the time to read and reply so thank you and I’m off to watch code geass (waves hand in the air)

I try to look at most of the comments. Sometimes it’s a little hard to find because (I don’t know if there is one but…) there is no system to find where each new comment is located.
I think I like and dislike how much information was on a page back then. Yes, it was informative and I appreciated it since this is a webcomic that is at a slow pace, but sometimes it also felt forced and unnecessary to be that much within a page that could be put into another page. Of course, that’s personal opinion and people can take priority over one thing or another thing. I’ve been anxious over things before, sadly it was never these comics. Unless it had to do with Mimi or Gene, seeing them is a blast.
Again, have a good time on this site. I look forward to your new comments.

You know, personally it’s not that I mind the cameos. I like them. I don’t even mind Chi’s existence, unlike a lot of people do. I just feel like Ben 10 characters (ESPECIALLY guys like Kevin 11, who by the way I don’t understand what’s the whole “mocking his name” thing, he was never ashamed of it in the show and never had any reason to be, it all really feels like a way to show how immature he is, but they could’ve done it in tons of other ways) fit better in the mold of PPGD than Grim Tales. The Samurai jack cameos actually make a lot more sense to me, but again, I don’t really mind them, I just mind the fact that they don’t seem to lead us anywhere.

As for that Walker Jr. thing going on, though I didn’t expect it, I at least hope that the blue hair and markings on his mask thing don’t mean that his mom is Ember or something. Because… I mean… It really wouldn’t make much sense. And considering how they handled previous characters form the Danny Phantom universe pretty darn well, THIS guy would be a huge disappointment. Oh well. We’ll see what happens.

It’ll forever be on The Adventures of Chi and you know it.

Indeed. Story of Aku’s daughter in another world rather than her being in Grim Tales. I think that would make a better story than her being an extra plot device.

        • Grids

          08/19/2016 at 1:33pm

If that were somehow possible, does that mean GT can go back to being decent again?

          • 08/31/2016 at 11:39pm

I believe so. Now, Grids… I hate to bug you, but I decided not to do the Petition. As much as I’d like you, to work on Grim Tales again, forcing it away from Bleedman, is a step too far. Have you considered, PEACEFULLY, talking it out, with Bleedman, and NEK? Pen is mightier than the sword. True, Bleedman misuses the pen, but I feel that if you three talked it out, you could probably get more done. Plus, I won’t do the Petition, but I will push for Bleedman’s attention. I want to do something official for Grim Tales. I’ve written FanFiction, and I want to do something official. So, while you PEACEFULLY, talk things out with them, I ask of you, as a fellow writer, to get them to at least acknowledge me. If you can provide me, another way to contact you I will tell you, everything about the alternate universe of Grim Tales, that I thought up, and want to make the official alternate universe. I hope negotiations go well. If not, I will understand your anger, towards me. P.S. Should I just tell you, or leave it here in the comments, for all to see?

            @COMMANDER16
You need to work on your comma placement, dude. Not saying mine is great, but you’re all over the place.
Grids tried contacting Bleedman with what he has available but nothing happened. Others who have no connection to Bleedman emailed him complaining as well but were ignored. Numa, I believe, is trying; however, there isn’t much luck right now. So, while Grids has tried PEACEFULLY to talk it out with Bleedman, it doesn’t help if Bleedman doesn’t listen or want to talk about it whatsoever.
You’re also sounding pretty sketchy when stating you want to make the ‘official alternate universe’.
You might as well just spill about the details of your plot ideas here. It’s basically the same as predicting the future.

          • 09/02/2016 at 12:33am

ATHDLG, I’m going to take your advice, and leave my official alternate universe, for Grim Tales, here in the comments. I warn you, this is going to be long one Before I tell the details of the plot, I want to give some of the ideas that no doubt, are going to piss people off. As we say, on the FanFiction site. Any reviews are welcome as long as they are not flames, or death threats. I know I threatened to take Grim Tales, before seeing the error of my ways, but I did not threaten Bleedman’s life. So, first the plot. You know when in Halloween Town, Junior gets kidnapped? In my version, when Junior storms out of the party, Grim follows and consoles his son, The way any caring father does. After a long talk, and Junior heading into the town graveyard, Grim sees the three little trouble makers coming. He says “Kids. Some need a good talking too, others need a swift kick where the sun never shines.” Then, while Grim kicks their asses, ( off screen. I could never think, about how he would kick their asses. I could never picture it, particularly not with those three) Junior sits in the town cemetery, and by accident discovers his Reaper powers. He reaches out his hand, and accidentally discovers that he can call down, dead souls at will. He likes this, because now he has no reason to be jealous of Minnie. Minnie rushes to her brother’s side, and gives him a hug, after showing him her own powers. They bond, Junior talks a little Shakespeare to playfully mess with Minnie, and for your information, no, I have not thought of the dialogue yet. That’s chapter one, and I hope Bleedman reads it, and if not I’ll look for another artist.

Now, here’s three ideas, that I had that only one, I decided to keep, as I don’t want you guys to start a war.

Idea 1: Mandy turns HIM, into a (BLEEP)-ing floor rug. Yeah, she gives HIM, the most violent death you can imagine. I don’t know if that’s already the direction, that Bleedman is going to take, but I decided to make it canon in my universe. I know a lot of Grim Tales fans, like HIM but me personally… I only ever found HIM intimidating, in the cartoon he originated from. In Grim Tales, I don’t see him as intimidating or funny, I just find him annoying. Plus, I love the image of Mandy showing the rest the Underworld, why you don’t (BLEEP) with her. So she beats Kare, until he’s nothing but a floor rug.

Idea 2: Character nationalities. Yeah, this one will also no doubt, offend the most Grim Tales fans. I decided. Not to do it, because it would make hard for readers to understand, and while I like have differences between my universe, and the main universe, this one will piss off the most, die hard fans. That said, the nationalities. Junior:Scottish. Reason: I think he would be a little bit, more badass if he came from an ancient, culture of warriors. Plus, it would be a nice comparison for him. Bad on trumpet, good on bagpipes. By good I mean universal. Both Scottish, and non-Scottish can enjoy it. Minnie: French. Reason: She’s polite, petite, and proper, and multi-talented. Then, I realized that her Shakespearean speech, would not be very nice to read, or easy to understand, if you mix it with a French accent. So I decided instead, that she will often speak French, when ever she needs to keep a conversation, secret. Mimi: Italian. Reason: She just kinda looks Italian to me. Chi (yes. I have her in my universe. I like the IDEA, of Chi. I don’t like her personality, so far. I changed some things about her. Not major thigs, just a few): Japanese. Reason:Aku is technically from Japan, and Chi’s his daughter so it’d make some sense. I decided not to do the nationalities, because it would be hard for readers, to understand what they’re saying and they’re in the Underworld, where the nations of man don’t matter. I still want to see it, but I know that I’m probably the only fan, who does want to see that,

Idea 3: The children of the “Big Five,” locked in a room, and forced to get along. This idea, I’m neutral about whether I want to keep or not. I’ve always liked the idea, of one the lords (after Kare’s death of course, that will never change in my mind) locking their kid, in with the kids of the rest of the “Big Five.” I felt that, the only way they would interact, is if they were locked in a room together. I always thought, that Chi would some day realize that Junior and Minnie aren’t as bad as she thinks they are, and would make friends with them. Being locked in a room with them, would help that idea. Plus I thought of the image, in keeping the nationalities, where Marciline is playing her guitar, and Junior joins in playing the bagpipes, just cuase he could. I especially like the idea, because I would LOVE to see them all bonding, finding out that they actually have things in common, and learning that they all give a damn about each other.

I didn’t change MUCH, of the characters’ personalities, just minor little things. Like Chi is a little less of a bitch, Mimi at least says like one sentence a day, unless there’s some kinda reason, to say more. So, not much changes. But, while I love the idea of Junior having his own powers, and never getting kidnaped, I don’t know how others would feel about it. Plus, while I want to do something official, I still have a few FanFics to work on. Including a Grim Tales-Black Butler crossover. So, leave your replies, tell me what you think about my Official Alternate Universe, and remember no flames or death threats. Bye

            09/02/2016 at 5:55am

            @COMMANDER16
You should be prepared for a large amount of words as well.
For starters, you should change from saying ‘not changing much’ to ‘changing everything’, because that’s what happened. I acknowledged this to be an alternate universe; however, I was thinking that it was going to change right around Chi appearing or when Jr. first met Mimi. Quite a surprise, so you’ll have to accept that these will be considered ‘drastic changes’ seeing as you are creating a completely different plot for Grim Tales from right in the beginning of it all.
Alright, now to get into the actual plots you’ve created. Since this plot is going by right after Jr. has run out of the party, I will analyze what is given for their personalities within mind what is already shown:
Grim being a persistent caring father is one way to look at things; he did care for Billy and Mandy and cares for his own family, in the show. Why is Grim kicking the asses of those three troublemakers? The way it was described makes it seem like Grim is kicking their asses for no good reason. It seems biased already and that doesn’t mean bad, but it can mean predictable to events of the future within stories and become boring for readers.
How does Jr. ‘accidentally’ call down to dead souls at will? What does that mean? Can he control the physical dead bodies of beings or just their souls? Jr’s had insatiable jealousy and envy toward his sister before these events. Jr. having powers would not make him completely sated at this point. He would show off, gloat, and most likely make a fool of himself in order to look better than Minnie, which is why he ran out of the party in the first place.
Minnie rushing to console her brother is logical. The extreme ‘but’ is their reactions to one another once each reveals their abilities. Minnie worries for Jr. and knows him very well, which is why she would most likely tell him to be careful and whatnot. Jr. is still immature and jealous/envious of Minnie at this point, the way he acts around her, and the way he believes she flaunts every talent she has—he most likely wouldn’t enjoy Minnie telling him to be careful. And if Minnie were to show her own powers when trying to prove that ‘great power comes responsibility’ and all that shit, he would most likely be infuriated thinking that she is trying to be better than him once more. For them, at least for Jr., to resolve their sibling rivalry and misunderstanding for one another takes more than a talk in this particular situation given.
This is the end of chapter one and there is no conflict being presented for the comic to progress in an interesting development for the readers. This is an alternate universe. Original GT has grabbed countless of fans and hooked them on ideas presented and plots given since chapter one. With no conflict presented by the end of this chapter, things do not bode well for fans from the Original GT. A quicker pace is needed in Bleedman’s comics, they don’t update as fast.
            Now for the ideas:
Before I actually get to ideas, maybe don’t ‘bleep’ out swear words. You already said ass and bitch in the explanation given. Bleeding out fuck is silly and brings down the serious vision trying to be given within the explanation as much as NEK bleeping out swear words in a comic for a (most likely) dramatic and comical effect.
Idea 1: When would Mandy turn HIM into a fucking floor rug? HIM is a major antagonist in Grim Tales. What ‘replaces’ him, in a sense, for things to have an overall plot and end-goal? The image of what you see HIM as is completely up to you, seeing as up to this point no one would know what HIM is suppose to be like in this universe. If HIM is the same as in original GT, people will want to see how Mandy took down HIM. Hell is already scared of her and acknowledges her as a Queen. Taking down HIM, if he’s nothing like in original GT, appears to be another step rather than a giant leap.
Idea 2: I’m glad you decided not to do it. It doesn’t make sense. To put something into a comic because one feels like it while at the same time expecting it to be taken into consideration as a serious comic is almost funny. I understand the desire to put ideas like these in but if it doesn’t make sense whatsoever, it’s going to be hated on for not making sense whatsoever. It’s not hard for the readers to understand and to say that they won’t understand can be insulting. They most likely will understand and put the conclusion that it is the author’s selfish desires to place something they like within a comic regardless of it fitting in. Junior being Scottish; why? Grim is known to have an Jamaican accent and Mandy is most likely American. Minnie is raised by Mandy (probably American) and Grim (Jamaican accent) with a tutor who teaches her Shakespeare literature and an “uncle” whom is her real father and is a Nergal. Chi is a demon; while she has culture from Japan they still consider themselves demons and above humans. Mimi being Italian could work since her mother can be someone who is Italian. If she doesn’t have a mother who is Italian then it doesn’t make sense. The only way things would make sense is if their ‘nationality’ was simply a form of culture that they show to enjoy. If someone in the children’s lives had shown them culture and had them experience said culture for a certain amount of time so they would be able to assimilate it into their daily lives, it would make more sense. Hopefully it does not derail much from actual plots.
Idea 3: The children of the “Big Five” being locked in a room and forced to get along is an extreme reach. I’m will be assuming Chi is pretty much the same as before because there is no description of what changes you had for her other than ‘changed some things about her[…]not much’. Chi will be stuck to Mimi like glue in this case, not wanting to share her or talk to anyone else besides her. Mimi wouldn’t care and these two elements combined already causes a silence that won’t solve itself unless the kids lie about getting along. You’ll also most likely have to provide some simple dialogue or brief backstory on why Marceline is there because her being there is extremely weird. Why she would be there, why she’s with her father, etc. Minnie, Jr., and Marceline would probably get along but Mimi and Chi would most likely be the problem. Why would Aku care for his daughter to play nice with the children? The image of Junior joining in with Marceline when she’s playing the bagpipes is ridiculous since the reasoning is obviously because if nationalities would be a thing then it’s because he’s ‘Irish’. There is an extreme desire for everything and everyone to get along in these plots rather than showing new conflicts that could arise from new situations. Considering their parent’s pasts and different goals, a family is going to try to kill the other ones for dominance sooner or later. It’s not going to be happy.
I didn’t analyze it as much as I could, sorry about that. These were just things on the top of my head.
One last thing, it is the internet and the internet is filled with douchebags that will threaten you, put death threats, and flame you for no reason. To ask for it not to happen is a little humorous. You kind of have to suck it up if it happens on places like these. The mods MIGHT take care of it, but it’s a little hard to moderate much on here.

          • 09/04/2016 at 3:13am

ATHDLG, I thank you for telling me about the issues, with my universe. I didn’t mean. Not to have conflict, I just didn’t say what it would be, in my previous comment. Now, I’m going to explain a few things.

First: Conflict. I didn’t want to have any conflict, while they were still in Halloween Town. I know a number of people who don’t, because Nightmare Before Christmas is part of their, as well as my own, childhood, and I didn’t want to see it mostly, destroyed. The conflict begins, just as the family are leaving. They’re headed home, and are suddenly attacked by HIM. Then, it goes just as the original does. HIM grabs Junior, his lackies keep Grim and Mandy occupied, Minnie saves Junior’s ungrateful ass, Junior has unjustified shit-fit, Minnie gets injured. Not killed, but still pretty bad. Junior feels fear, anger, and guilt. He rushes to Minnie, and hands her to Grim. He tells Grim to take Minnie, back to the castle and treat her wounds. Grim sees the emotions in his son’s sockets, and teleports Minnie to the castle. He does this because, any caring father at least does something like this, for his son. Meanwhile, Junior, having a scythe of his own, jabs HIM, in the thigh with it. Mimi, who had been sitting with her legs crossed, and playing her (whatever the hell kids play on nowadays), with Jeff behind her, jumps up with a paintball gun, and shoots HIM with it. In the ass. No one wants, to be the shot in the ass with a paintball gun. Then, Mimi and Jeff head to the Grim Family’s castle, with Junior and Mandy. The family decides, that while they hate the situation, they’ll left Mimi and Jeff stay with them, in the castle. Then, Junior checks on Minnie, and explains his guilt, and jealousy. Minnie says she understands, and explains her own feelings. Then, to put Minnie back in good spirits, Junior talks a little Shakespearean. I didn’t kill off Minnie’s original body, because I’ve seen FanFics where Junior goes back in time, to give Minnie her old life and powers back, out of guilt. I didn’t want to do that, because I don’t think Bleedman or much of the fan base, are interested in Time Travel. Plus, while he should feel guilt, for getting Minnie injured he shouldn’t feel guilt, for taking away her powers. Plus, I and other Grim Tales fans like to experiment with the idea, of Junior never getting kidnapped. Plus, I took a bit too much, of my own interests, as I don’t like a skeleton with an eyeball, or looking at someone with one eye, and no eye patch. It’s just… Out of place. Even in a comic, regardless of anything else. I know I’ll be hated for this, but I did what I feel was right. I don’t know anyone personally, who feels the same way, but I know they’re out there.

Second: Mandy turning HIM into a floor rug. I’ve explained my reason for doing this. Mandy’s reason for doing this, is she hates HIM. I know she hates everything, but Kare is a special case. HIM telepathically communicates with Mimi, and attempts to convince her to steal, Horror’s Hand. She rates HIM out, to Mandy. Then, she makes her big battle plan, distracts HIM’s allies, and then destroys everything HIM could use, as a plan B. Then, she gives him the most graphic death, that any human could ever imagine, and more so. Then, I haven’t exactly figured out, what she does with his now-rug, body. I just, haven’t thought of it yet.

Third: Locking the “Big Five’s” kids in a room, where they’d be forced to get along. I thought of this one, when I thought of my crossover, between Grim Tales and Black Butler (or if you prefer to call it, Kuroshitsuji). Similar circumstances, both in the Crossover, and in my official alternate universe. In both versions, there is some big threat, that threatens both the Underworld and the Land of OOO. That’s why Marciline is there. Because her father, pulled her back “home,” for her safety. In the official alternate universe, they all send their kids to the mortal world, I just haven’t decided where on the mortal world yet. In the crossover, they are placed in Ciel and Sebastian’s care. I don’t know why, but I feel like Grim would really trust Sebastian. In my official alternate universe, Mandy locks the kids in the room (including her own kids) hoping that her kids, will kill the rest of them. In the crossover, Sebastian locks them in the room, to avoid any damage to the manor, due to their constant bickering. As time goes on, they fight due to their own differences, and their parents’ checkered pasts. As the fights go on, they realize that they have things in common, and the more they learn about each other, they slowly become uneasy friends. The friendship becomes easier, as the story goes on. I know Chi and Mimi would be hard to bond with, but I feel that if Mimi told Chi, that the others are not as bad as she thinks they are, she would throw a shit-fit, and as mentioned before, would slowly realize it and might see them, especially Junior, in a different light.

Fourth: The changes I’ve made, to Mimi and Chi. I can’t exactly justify Mimi speaking, I just feel like it would add something. I don’t know what, but I just believe it would add something. Making Chi less of a bitch, helps me add to the “Locked in a room” scenario. Particularly, when Junior does something big for Chi and Mimi. Like saving their lives, buying them something, or my most insane idea. The insane idea, is Aku, wanting to make for going up against Mandy and Grim, makes a deal to marry Chi off to Junior. Not just to make up them, but also to get Chi to see that being straight has it’s wonders. No one involved likes it. Minnie doesn’t like it, because it’s her brother being married off to someone, who isn’t her. Chi doesn’t like it, cause she’s so in love with Mimi. Mimi doesn’t like it, because she isn’t involved in the marriage. Yeah. I’m kind of a sick Perv. Mimi wants to be married, to both of them. Because she’s known Chi for so long, and because after the whole “Locked in a room, for certain amount of time” scenario, and having spent some time in the castle she’s learned enough about Junior, to want them both. Yes, just want them both. I told you I was a sick Perv. Junior doesn’t like it, because all he knows about Chi is what he knows, after the (I know this is getting old) “locked in a room” scenario. So, when they have them talk, Junior admits that he’s not happy about this because, whilst the two know little about each other, he knows that his parents are marrying him to a woman, that he believes is far too good for him. When Chi hears him say this, she sees Junior in a whole new light. Not like a love type of light, even though I think that could be, a possibility. But just, a different light, like maybe he’s not so bad. Then, their little arrangement is called off. Unless the fans request otherwise.

Fifth: Nationalities. This is the one, I decided not to do. But, if I ever do them, here are the stories behind them. Junior: Scottish. This was originally, part of a crossover I did, and am still doing, even as I try to get my official alternate universe, to become official. The story is, Junior reads his father’s journal, enough to ask his father to take him to the mortal world. Grim takes Junior to Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. I heard Scotland, has more murder than any country in Europe. From someone who knows their culture, I wouldn’t read that from them, but I digress. Then, Junior practically falls head over heels, for the country’s culture. Hence, he talks with the Scottish accent, has bits and pieces of the culture, in his room. Minnie:French. As the years go on, Minnie notices her brother, taking more and more trips, to the mortal world. Even wanting to go with him. Mandy however, due to her daughter’s dignified personality and multiple talents, takes her to France instead. She also loves the culture, and starts pickup the language and accent. That’s about all I got. Mimi: Italian. Her mother, Blossom, is genetically part Italian, and after HIM rapes her, (or at least I assume it was rape) she raises Mimi in Rome, Italy. Yeah, Rome. The one place, HIM would never possibly go. Hence, why she speaks the language, and the accent. Chi: Japanese. I got nothing. All I have, is Aku deciding to raise her with bits and pieces of Japanese culture, often taking trips to the country. Yeah I have nothing else. I decided not to do this, because of two reasons. One, it would confuse the readers. After all, so many characters already have accents, and would be hard to understand so many accents, in one comic. Plus, Minnie’s Shakespearean way of speaking, would be even harder to understand with a French accent. So, instead, I decided to have her slip into French, when the situation calls for it. Reason Two: The story takes place, in the Underworld. Where the Nations of Man, do not matter. So, it would be weird to have them speaking, with the accents and languages, of man. So, that’s about it.

There’s my explanation, if it’s inadequate, then tell me, what else you find wrong. Plus, if anyone else, wants to jump on, to the review train, go ahead. Do whatever you feel, like doing. See ya later

    Hear me, everyone.
This will be long but I think it’s worth bringing up. I would like to talk about Walker Jr. Specifically about parentage.
There are two ways I can see this going .
    A and B.
One would be a sensible way to handle this and the other would be stupid on multiple levels. Let’s talk about A, Option Sensible, which is how I would handle this character of I took over my former role at this very moment.
This is Walker’s son, groomed as the new head of the ghost domain. Warden, probationary. Salivating at the eventual and inevitable rise to top dog. His dad is still around but holds the actual true power, but is so immersed in work and official business he doesn’t “press the flesh” much. That’s why Walker is here – hell he isn’t even in his own domain but he’s barking orders. He’s practising.
However, Ember McLain is NOT his mother. Ember is a musician with a strong following, one that includes Walker II.
Whilst Walker is the warden-in-waiting he despises his dad’s shadow. He’s a spoilt, immature, introverted brat and he steps the line when it suits him and nothing pleases him more than angering father. There’s nothing to lose – power is his birthright. It so happens that Walker II is a massive fan of Ember. Perhaps his own mother is nowhere to be found and he wishes Ember were his true mom, so he styles himself like her. Hair like hers. A mask with face markings like hers. She is an obsession he doesn’t keep quiet – anyone who belittles him for it has broken his rules. His very appearance is the broadcast of his personality and state of mind. He’s a colossal dick who has adopted his own charade and he loves it. This is why he resembles Ember, not because he is her son but because he so desperately wants to be.

Now for option B. Stupid Selection. The one NEK likely will go with and the one that gives the finger to fans, the comic itself and just everyone in general. In this option, Walker II is the son of Ember. This is despite Ember being in a proper relationship in her show. Walker in the show has no eyes for her nor the disposition to go booby-cruisin’. But because this is the almighty Bleed/NEK shortsightedness brigade then why the hell not. This would reduce Walker II to a pitiful shell of what he could otherwise be. But plot requires explanation and if canon sources have already placed his mother with someone else, that only leaves one real means of explaining why Walker I made an about-face and started listing for Ember.
And the thing is, it was done before.
    It was done by me.
    With Him.
And although I never got the chance to fully expand on it, that method actually worked.
To have Walker jump Ember’s bones ‘just cause’ is a lazy 12-year-old Mary Sue fan fiction excuse to create a pathetic and lazy character. And we already have one of those anyway! I shall hence force call such a process of making and inserting said character with no regard for canon or consequence as “Jewelling”

And this is cos Jewel is an horrifically derivative character, simply mashing Grim Jr and Mimi together with only the laziest of gaps being filled in. And then they’re thrown into the story for shortsighted reasons with no regard for the ripple effect. Anyone who respects their work is conscious of the ripple effect. NEK, Bleedman… Their respect is gone. Their creation of GT at this point seems arbitrary. Soulless. That’s why a change is so dearly needed.

And if they are left to recycling a plot that I originally did for this comic, and did better, doesn’t that pretty much acknowledge that those times and plot lines were better?

I want to know what others think.

TL;DR – Walker II could be either real unique or real fucking stupid

    • 08/17/2016 at 3:47pm

I personally still don’t like Walker having a son, because its not in his character, but having him at least not be Ember’s son is the best thing this scenario can bring. The way you describe his character feels unique and not done with any of the other children in the comic. Walker II/Junior (still lazy names ugh) could have potential if handled right, and his existence should be properly explained in this comic, as Walker never displayed romantic thoughts or wanting to have someone to take him over when the time is ripe. So him just having a representative so he can focus on other things would be the best idea.

      • 08/17/2016 at 4:23pm

Okay so what if he’s Embers son. But he is just working under walker. Couldn’t that work. It could be the other way around whereas he wanted to be walkers underling.

        • 08/17/2016 at 4:25pm

My personal preference goes out to that as well. As it is very close to how my OC works from quite some time ago.

          08/17/2016 at 9:02pm

Then that raises a plethora of new questions, the first being ‘why is Ember’s son working for Walker of all people?’ And followed by ones such as ‘Why is Walker allowing his name and legacy to be shared with someone completely unrelated to him?’.

          • 08/18/2016 at 3:41pm

That could be part of the story. The only problem with this comic is giving reason why people are who they are. Too many back stories for characters that hold no weight to the story.

          08/18/2016 at 1:01am

It was more or less because of how it was explained. While it was an opinion and I understand that, it seemed set up for one to fail and the other to flourish in the perspective of who read it. Rather than showing how it is an option for people to consider over, it was handed as a ridiculous option and no one should choose it. It went from the typical, NEK would do this and that’s bad because it gives a middle finger to the audience. Slight explanation of how it doesn’t make sense, which I liked. Then back to how NEK and Bleed doing this would be bad and they just make bad bad decisions. Then a last short explanation of whoever creates the comic needing to be able to use the resources. I nodded my head, thinking that it’s respectable even if it had flaws.
Then it took a left turn as it usually does and it turned about you and what you did in the comic again and how much better you are in comparison. Even if I am neutral at the idea if you were better or not, while reading it, all I could imagine was that stupid skit from Family Guy where Julia Roberts spouts out “MEEEE MEEEEEE MEEEEEEEEE, HAHAHAHAH” because she wants everyone to know that even though things are terrible, you still have her to look at and gawk. You make yourself out to appear extremely jealous (understandable) and also conceited at many times lately.
It makes me laugh. So, in order to continue making me laugh, I really want option B to happen because even if all these comments are repetitive in their complaints, it seriously doesn’t get old for me.

If that’s how you wanna look at it, then sure. I would point out the blatant rehash no matter who did it first. Bu toy comes down to throwing away a lot of what the show already set up in order to create this rather derivative OC. And GT doesn’t need more of those.

Or maybe it does! Maybe that’s what it’s become now.

            08/18/2016 at 3:07am

It’s grand that you agree on it, makes me feel all fuzzy inside. And, yeah, it seems like they’re going to be putting in one new character after the other, that’s what they’ve been doing and it might as well not stop. Draw all them OCs and other random CN characters into the comic, Bleed.

    • Aros001

      08/18/2016 at 3:27am

Well, while I do like your idea for option A, there might be another reason why Ember would have Walker’s kid beyond them having any feelings for each other and it might be the same reason Blossom had HIM’s kid. I’ve always imagined HIM blackmailed her or offered her some sort of deal, something like if she had his kid he wouldn’t do some horrible deed or that he’d save the life of someone she cared about if she agreed to have his kid. So it could be something similar here, where Walker wanted an heir and he found someone he could exploit to get one. That way Walker is still the unfeeling dictator of the Ghost Zone, Ember’s previous relationship stays unsullied (continuity-wise), and Walker Jr is the product of a loveless union, as I imagine happens a lot in the Underworld.

But since I don’t know how the Blossom and HIM thing actually happened, I could just be grasping at straws here and hoping things will turn out well.

      • Grids

        08/19/2016 at 3:09am

Walker seems considerably older than Mimi so if Him pulled the same stunt in this instance, it was BEFORE he got his claws on Blossom.

        • Aros001

          08/19/2016 at 5:55am

No (and sorry if I am misunderstanding you), I’m saying that Walker (the one from the cartoon) may have done something similar to Ember that HIM did to Blossom, something like blackmail or a deal in exchange for something important to her. I’d really doubt that HIM has anything to do with Walker Senior having a kid.

But you are right about Walker Jr being older than Mimi. By the look of him (though I wouldn’t put it past Bleedman to have this character turn out to be a girl, given we can’t see his/her face) I’d say he might be a year or two older than Junior if we’re just going by height.

          • Grids

            08/19/2016 at 1:32pm

Him is nefarious and manipulative and aimed to cut off the PPG legacy at the knees in a final middle finger… or pincer… to the headaches they’ve caused him. Walker would need some pretty strong motivation in order to get it out of Ember of all people.

          • Aros001

            08/19/2016 at 6:27pm

True. I suppose another theory is that this Walker II character is the son of Skulker and Ember and that the real Walker stole him and started grooming him to be his heir. That would be something Walker would see as a victory, given that Skulker and Ember are two ghost the least likely to follow his rules and their kid would probably be very similar. But taking that kind of potential troublemaker and mold him into Walker’s own image…that’s a victory Walker would be proud of.

Also, a question that’s been on my mind for a while and I totally understand if you don’t want to answer it because it might still happen in the story, but what was the original idea for why Blossom had HIM’s kid? I get why HIM would want her to do it, like you said, to cut off the PPG legacy at the knees, but why would Blossom ever allow that to happen?

          • athdlg

            08/19/2016 at 8:04pm

            @AROS001
Grids stated that in the original script Blossom allowed things to happen the way they happened because she had a choice to make. Basically either, let HIM do whatever he wanted to her and become his ‘trophy’, or he can murder all of Blossom’s loved ones. Of course, Blossom chose to save her friends and she ended up having Mimi as a result of the choice.

          • Aros001

            08/20/2016 at 12:50am

Thank you. Figured it must be something like that. But I’m still wondering what the exact deal was. After all, HIM has gone out of his way to hurt the Powerpuffs and their loved ones in the past and they always managed to beat him. So something had to have changed to make HIM an even bigger threat that Blossom could not stop unless she made that deal with him.

          • athdlg

            08/20/2016 at 2:57am

Some people believe that HIM only toys with the Powerpuff Girls and never actually uses all of his power in order to defeat them. He likes using them for his amusement and defeating them would make it come to an end.
I don’t personally believe this, but from what I remember this was the case with this version of HIM. He wanted to finally get rid of the Powerpuff Girls and he did. Maybe because they were older, more of a threat to him in some cases, and decided it’s best to just kill them all.
I don’t know this for sure which is why I can’t confirm. This is just what I recall, but I might be wrong.

The plan was to show a lot more of what occurred leading up to Mimi’s birth and lots of things subsequent, as she and her mother were both going to be integral to the plot.
With people like Chi showing up, and Jewel utterly shitting on all of Mimi’s buildup, that gravitas is lessened now.

even if they do sort of comeback, maybe during the war to fight or something, their whole actions in the last few pages are a complete waste.

you could just spare a panel or two of them during the war assuming it happens, and that wouldnt require the last few pages.

the only way that they wouldnt be a total waste, is if walker doesnt help chi and she ends up getting through the ghost zone thanks to their information.

All artists put a lot into their own work, but it becomes a problem when an artist doesn’t respect or even listen to the criticism that is given to them. Also it’s basic creativity 101 to not add characters into the melting pot of your work that add nothing to the overarching storyline or commit as many gregarious errors that Bleed did throughout this comic.

So, on the last Grim Tales page, readers were given the chance, to mail Bleedman. I sent him an Email, told him to reply, and told him everything, I felt he needed to be told. Appereantly, my words have fallen, on deaf ears. I particularly told him, that we’re tired, of the damn table! But, unless Bleedman replies to my Email, (or one his little buddies, replies to this comment, in no more, and no less, than two weeks, I’m starting a petition. The petition, to get Bleedman to sign over Grim Tales, to someone else. If you guys support this Pettion, then when you reply to this comment, if you do reply and support the Pettion, just say, “Bleed, can bleed.” No offense to Bleedman, but I already know three guys, who could write a much better Grim Tales, with an actual plot.

If this is a fan comic, then other fans of the same material should be able to voice their disgust at how much this comic has lost its way.

I don’t know, Commander16. I don’t want to take Grim Tales away from Bleedman for the same reason I don’t like that it was taken away from Grids. The comic may have gone down a bit in story quality but it’s clearly something that a lot of effort was put into by those who worked on it. Grids clearly cares about the comic, which is why it sucks that he’s not on it anymore, and I’d like to think Bleedman still cares about it too.
And while being able to work on the official Grim Tales would be pretty cool, all I’ve written are some fanfictions which, if I’m being honest, vary in quality quite a bit. I do like writing the stuff and toying around with the ideas and characters and hearing what the original ideas were for Grim Tales, but honestly it would be nice just to have the actual story pick up a bit again. Maybe have Grids rehired and he, NEK, and Bleedman just being able to work things out.

All right. So do you support this Pettition, or what? Because, saying something like that, isn’t very clear to me. Plus, I have a message for those who do support the Pettition. I was once, afraid to give my Email address, because of fear that it would give away, my identity. If any of you have ‘Yahoo,’ send me an email, at [email protected]. If you don’t have ‘Yahoo,’ I’m not aware of any other form of mailing me, without giving away, my real name. But, I have some bad news. Due to circumstances beyond our control, for next few months (particularly, until May 20, 2017) I will be unavailable, everyday, until 3:20 P.M. This does NOT, change anything though. Aside from the time you can reach me, the Pettition STILL stands. Bleedman still has two weeks, to reply to me, or sign over Grim Tales, to someone else. Now, I’ve said enough, if not too much.

They’re stating an opinion, doesn’t mean anything toward the petition but telling people to ‘move on’ indirectly. I’m guessing that could regard you? Either way, a commend you for your efforts.

    • 08/18/2016 at 9:26pm

Okay. As of today, I’ve decided to have a little less rash, of an idea. I thank Aros001, for suggesting this. I’ve decided, that I will try to convince Bleedman, to hire Grids back. This he, Grids, NEK, and Bleedman, can talk things over. If they don’t, and if Bleed doesn’t reply to my Email, THEN, my Petition starts. Of this upsets anyone, I apologize. But I had to think of another solution, before I started a Petition, I couldn’t take back. So, let’s hope that the three of them, can settle things peacefully. If not, the Pettition begins.

I doubt that things will be settled so easily at this point, especially with the knowledge that’s already known about Bleedman, NEK, and Grids. Go try though, dude.

Anyone Else think this new Walker is Skulker and Embers kid working for Skulker who gave them this title?

    • 08/15/2016 at 6:42pm

That would be a best case scenario for this character… mainly because Walker x Ember makes no sense… and Walker having a child makes even less sense

        08/16/2016 at 9:30pm

Yeah, I mean they mentioned Walker Rules the Ghost Zone at this time so having a large number of ghost’s under his employ makes sense. Though he seems like most likely to be usurped by his own among any of the leaders, Perhaps that’s why Mandy want’s some Ghostly offspring.

All right, the pointless characters that served no purpose other than a pointless cameo side plot has left the bar; now would be a good time to either transition to the council, the castle, or finally have Chi leave this place, sure the last of the 3 scenarios might leave the Warden character completely useless, but so were the aforementioned characters.

Let’s get back to the reason why this comic is called Grim Tales, shall we, bleedman?

    • silvercover

      08/15/2016 at 4:17pm

optimistically, we have 2 pages minimum where walker and chi talk a bit and she convinces him to send her through the ghost zone safely and quickly, then she pops outside grim’s castle on time to see junior and minnie fighting.

other things that could delay that from happening: chi and walker arguing, walker refusing so chi has to go by herself, we have to trudge through the ghost zone, meeting old/new characters from the show or other cartoons, obstacles/conflicts that are on chis way, she still has to travel some more after the ghost zone in grim’s domain…

      • Grids

        08/15/2016 at 8:26pm

She could have gotten that whole thing done in two pages if that’s how it’s gonna go down.

      • PumpkinQueen13

        08/16/2016 at 3:36am

2 pages minimum of that alone. Altogether, though we’ve had almost 10 pages worth of pointless side plot that could have been the focus on other characters, like the “Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy” characters, for instance, y’know, the reason why this thing is called GRIM Tales.
There’s nothing to be optimistic about this trainwreck of a thing that bleedman calls a comic. Besides, knowing the pace of this comic, the obstacles/conflicts will only further delay the comic even more.

        08/16/2016 at 1:36pm

You forgot the most likely scenarios; Walker Jr. either arrests Chi for planning to enter the Ghost Zone in the first place (and we get twenty or so pages of Chi in jail) or he takes her into custody to escort her right back to Aku’s castle (given that, as was pointed out to me earlier, Walker(s) tend to make up and interpret the rules as he sees fit, and has little concern for jurisdiction he might well decide his role as law and peacekeeper covered making sure a wayward little princess was sent right back to where she belongs and stays there.) In that case, either we get pages of Chi evading Walker or everything from the start of the MISSION becomes pointless.

  • 08/15/2016 at 3:00pm

And this page finally concludes the stupid and pointless inclusion of Rook and Kevin. What did they add to the story, -10%.
What are those random human OC’s doing in this bar, the fuck?
I’m still mad about the inclusion of this Walker Jr. thing
And Chi is still sitting in the same chair, nice progress
The grammer on this page is also to cringe

    08/15/2016 at 1:52pm

    This page? Pointless.
    Kev and Rook? Pointless.
    This whole scene? Pointless.

    I could go on.

    • Aros001

      08/15/2016 at 6:03pm

Well, optimistically, Kevin and Rook could end up being used later and this was just an opportunity to set them up early on. Hopefully with Chi and whom I’m assuming to be Walker’s son meeting each other the plot will get going a bit faster.

I get what Bleedman is trying to. He’s trying to make this more like a real comic/graphic novel, where in fairness each page is part of the bigger story and if you were to just pick out a few pages of any comic, not much would be happening. So spending quite a few pages in just one place is not uncommon. If it were an entire chapter or more and they still haven’t moved, then that is certainly a reasonable complaint.

I think the main problem though is that Grim Tales did not start out at this pace. A lot did happen in one page when it first started and thus in comparison to a more traditional comic book/graphic novel style it feels like it’s slowed to a crawl. It’s not a horrible pace, but compared to what we’re used to, it feels like nothing is happening.

      • Grids

        08/15/2016 at 8:25pm

You call that optimism? Kev and Rook are a terrible fit for GT and should never have appeared in the first place. PPGD sure but not here.
I used to be in NEK’s place and I oversaw the bulk of this comic in its founding years. You say the pacing should have been more like it is now, back in those days?
I am curious as to how many people would agree with you.

        • athdlg

          08/15/2016 at 9:40pm

          Probably 50/50.
Then again, there is probably a portion that doesn’t care.
          Maybe 33%?

        • Aros001

          08/16/2016 at 12:15am

Personally I’d prefer the speed to pick up a bit and go at the pace that it used to be at. The main reason the new pace doesn’t bother me too much is because it comparison to published comic books and graphic novels, the pace is about the same.

You’ve pointed out many times how the story has changed since Chi was introduced and I agree, but it seems that ever since Grim and Mandy left to go to the council is when the pace slowed noticeably. In itself this slower pace is not necessarily bad, but since we are used to the much faster pace and more happening per page, the change in pace is jarring and not very welcomed, considering right now we are in a transition part of the story and we know that what come after this bar is the stuff we want to see. Were this slower pace happening when Chi meets Junior and Minnie or when Grim and Mandy are in the middle of the council meeting we would not be having as big an issue with the slowness of the story.

I suppose it’s like driving on the road to a movie theater for three hours vs. watching a movie for three hours. You don’t mind the long movie time because it’s what you want to see, whereas you hate being on the rode for that long of time because you just want to get to where you’re going.

        08/16/2016 at 12:03am

that doesnt really work, there’s no need to hint and tease kevin and rook for future events especially since they’re an already existing cartoon that bleed could throw in when they are NEEDED. thats the key word here, if them being there actually does something for the comic.

take the other comics or previous pages of GT, not a whole lot of characters had to be given build up before they showed up to do something. this works well because as I said, they’re from existing cartoons with especially noticable and distinct appearances. most people would be able to know and understand them, if not then just some short information about them when they show up is alright.

      09/02/2016 at 4:26pm

Yeah, the dialogue could’ve been shortened with kev and rook to a half or quarter page if the purpose was to introduce the lawman.
I mean, I was kinda looking forward to Chi trying to scale the castle thinking there was no traps but to be proven horribly wrong and then while trying to survive and look for Mimi she comes across Junior and Mimi. Then she’d quickly misinterpret the situation as junior holding her prisoner and attacks him as junior defends himself (and mimi not helping ether of them, just happy she gets to see chi again while she’s being carried around like luggage or something as they fight and dodge traps). Junior would be talking with–or more accurately shouting at Chi why he has Mimi while Chi accuses him of ridiculous stuff, convinced he’s a horrible person and then they’d get to a part that’d take Chi by surprise and they stop for a brief moment. Maybe this would be where Mini Mandy comes in and more havoc ensues I don’t know.

But we’ve yet to even get Chi to the castle and its just dragging.

hey grids! sorry to bother ya, but I was reading threw some of the comments and seen that you where the original editor for GT? you seem to still have a lot of passion for the project, and I was wondering if you’ve ever thought of making a spin off comic that continues grim tails but with your ideas? I would like to see something like that come to light!

    08/15/2016 at 1:50pm

hard to tell if bleed was planning to do this in the first place or did it due to everyone complaining in the comments.

well, now THIS is where I would agree that the past few pages were a total waste. kevin and rook ended up doing nothing and contributing nothing to advance the story before they are gone. I would have let it go if they had at least brought chi through the ghostzone, along with a few fun and action scenes in between.

Though why the pointy eared one laughs like Geko Moria from One Piece is beyond me
