To me that would make me more grace Chi you fall in love with Mini!

    • silvercover

      07/29/2016 at 6:48am

      minnie? or just misspelled mimi?

either way, sounds plausible to me, if junior ends up with the other one. I made scenarios before of how chi and minnie could be together due to how very similar their situation is/would be(if junior and mimi do like each other) and how they would act.

      • Santessen

        07/29/2016 at 12:50pm

Another point worth considering is whether Chi will still find Mimi as fascinating in her current state. We know she loves Mimi, but does she love Mimi the person or Mimi the symbiote carrier? If the two are separated for good (which is currently a possibility), will that make a difference to Chi? I suppose it could actually make her desire stronger, since now on top of her current lust might be a protective, nurturing one (“Let ME be you hands, and your defender.”). But if what Chi really loves in Mimi is something that came from the symbiote, and the symbiote is no longer there….

Or what if the scenario proposed at one point comes to be and MINNIE bonds with the symbiote? If Chi loves the symbiote having it on someone even stronger than Mimi (in personality) and closer to herself in experiances might make a combination Chi can’t resist.

      Go ask Buzz Lightyear.

    • 07/28/2016 at 12:27am

I think, that’s the end all goal. She currently hates him, without having ever met him. The plan, is them to meet, have Chi fall in love with him, and see where it goes from there. I don’t know, it Bleedman plans to return the feelings, but I think that’s the (obvious) plan. Plus, there’s over a thousand FanFictions (all wonderful stories by the way) that the same thing.

      • 07/28/2016 at 12:28am

I was talking about Chi and Junior, if anyone’s confused. I was replying to AHARDT5

      • silvercover

        07/28/2016 at 4:29am

she’s already too deep in love with mimi to fall for junior. I would agree if chi’s feelings for mimi was just a crush/shallow, but when she wasnt bothered by her human form I doubt she’d change to him. also she only “hates” him for now because of the impression of him torturing mimi, rather than the usual “its a guy”.

        • 07/28/2016 at 8:44am

Well, more than a thousand FanFictions disagree with that statement. Plus, I kinda think that’s the obvious direction. She’s the sort of character, who wouldn’t change her mind for any reason, until she has some, thing that gets her to. Over a thousand people theorize, that she will meet Junior, get to know him, and fall in love with him. Hence, making it the over all plan. I hope you’re not offended, but I (as well as many fans) think, that that’s what direction the story is going.

            07/28/2016 at 10:50am

Dude. People will ship a loaf of bread with a cardboard box in fanfictions. Fanfictions therefore usually have zero value and only have the common result of the reader experiencing the loss of some IQ.

          • Aros001

            07/28/2016 at 2:10pm

Hey, Commander16, I’m one of those Fanfiction writers and I do have to slightly disagree. Junior and Chi meeting and falling for each other is just a theory about what could happen and it’s not really based on anything. It’s just something we think could happen and that’s a little fun to think about. Even in the story that I wrote about Junior and Chi, I will openly acknowledge that I think the only way they’d ever get together is just under the very specific circumstances that I put them in, one of which was that Minnie and Mimi died tragically.

Not saying you can think the characters would make a good couple or even hold out hope that they’d get together. I’m just saying fanfictions are still just stories that the authors thought would be fun to make. Heck, even the relationship I care the most about in Grim Tales is Junior and Minnie’s, because they’re the main characters, incest is clearly an uncomfortable issue and I want to see how they deal with it and what’s going to happen to them.

          • 07/29/2016 at 5:49am

I just came to a sudden and very distressing realization with all of this shipping talk. I used to think that the Mimi x Junior ship was tired and dated, and wasn’t worth the time of day anymore since Chi came into the picture, but now with Jewel being Canon, that means that Junior and Mimi are going to HAVE to end up together at some point; there’s no way around it, which means that Chi has officially lost her last legitimate tie to this story. The love triangle doesn’t exist if we already know the end result, does it? Where’s the conflict? Where’s the substance? What is Bleedman’s end goal with Chi if “rescuing” her from her destined lover is no longer possible?????

          • Lolwutpear_126

            07/29/2016 at 1:45pm

@Bird: I think making Jewel canon was the biggest mistake Bleed and NEK could’ve ever made in this comic.

          • 07/29/2016 at 2:11pm

I agree. I don’t “Hate” Jewel per se, she’s an interesting character with perhaps less interesting origins, and as far as fan characters go, she’s not bad. But her being “canon” in GT? Right now of all times? It’s causing a lot of small problems in a story that already has a lot of small problems. I’m not 100% sure what to make of all this. I suppose if I stop caring on a critical level, I could enjoy the comic again, but that’s difficult.

          09/21/2017 at 9:20am

She’s probably gonna form a best friend type relationship with Junior in the future. Right now Chi pretty self-centered, but she’ll grow out of it. I have a feeling that Chi won’t end up with Mimi anyway, she’s probably going to live the life of a bachelor

      • Santessen

        07/29/2016 at 12:26am

On the other hand it would certainly be the kind of thing Mandy would approve of, if not force. With one of her two offspring now presumably unable to bear children and the current too (as far as I have heard) destined not to be in this continuity, Jr. represents her last hope vis a vis having grandkids and keeping the dynasty going. So it is in her interest to try and make sure Jr’s is as promiscuous as she is and spreads his seed wide and far. I would not even put it past her to try and get some kind of triangle going, where Chi agrees to stay as well, and Jr. ends up marrying BOTH of them (I doubt Mandy will have a problem with polygamy when it suits her needs) in a sort of semi-stable triangle (Chi might just consent to something like this if it assured she would be with Mimi forever) That way Mandy now has blood ties to the thrones of THREE realms. Figure out how to bump off Him* and Aku and she is now basically the head power over almost half the underworld

*Okay I know that technically Him isn’t the ruler of his realm, but we’ve seen Satan in this continuity; he doesn’t look like much of a threat and easy to dispose of.

          07/29/2016 at 6:44am

oh yeah, the harem option. certainly makes it a bit more plausible that way, as chi would still have mimi as her priority in love but wouldnt mind junior.

also mandy already does that shit so she definitely would have no problem if junior decides to bed several girls.

          • Lolwutpear_126

            07/29/2016 at 1:45pm

I think you’re both greatly underestimating the power of jealousy. From what we’ve seen Chi is quite possessive when it comes to her little Mimi, so I don’t think a triangle will ever really work out. Not in the long run, at least. Chi will probably end up just as resentful as Minnie.

  • Lolwutpear_126

    07/27/2016 at 8:28am

Can we get this Ghost Zone shit over with already and return to characters which actually DO matter? I think by now it’s clear enough that Chi just wants to get in Mimi’s pants. Why can’t Bleed just keep it to fetishist commissions of this couple and move the fuck on with the actual story?

    Oh shit, Walkers here.

  • Aros001

    07/26/2016 at 12:59pm

Walker? Alright! We get a character introduction that is actually relevant to the story and was hinted at earlier in the story, given that Walker is in charge of the Ghost Zone, which is one of the Big Five reams talked about in the story. While this isn’t Chi finally meeting the Grim Family, Walker was a character we wanted to see, so at least this is a step in the right direction, so I’m going to be optimistic about this for now.

    • Grids

      07/26/2016 at 3:26pm

So then if there’s supposed to be this big Council of the heads of state sort of thing that’s about to happen, why is Walker here?

      • Aros001

        07/26/2016 at 3:32pm

Honestly I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully the next page will explain it but if I had to guess, given that Rook and Kevin were going on about how they know how to get past the Ghost Zone’s defenses, perhaps Walker found out about it and decided to take care of them before he left for the council meeting.

        • Santessen

          07/28/2016 at 12:01am

But is he ALLOWED to? The bar may be NEAR the Ghost Zone border, but it is still on Aku’s Territory. Walker LIVES by the Rules (so to speak) so there might be some jurisdiction issues with regards to “dealing” with them. If Rook and Kevin have already previous infiltrated the Ghost zone before, that’s well and fine, we’ve seen Walker has no problems pursuing those he has felt have broken his rules in other realms. But if they haven’t yet, some questions of might come into play. I assume the realms have agreements of national sovereignty (though Him’s sending of Mimi into Grim’s realm, and Mandy’s consequent holding of Mandy as basically a hostage show they aren’t above violating them).

Actually I wonder if Walker considers Kevin an inherent threat of the same kind as Danny. In his current form Kevin is part Ectoneurite, so for all intents and purposes, he is “part ghost”, the same as Danny. (at least I think he is, meshing these two universes together makes it a little fuzzy.)

          • Aros001

            07/28/2016 at 3:05am

I think from Kevin and Rook’s dialogue with Chi they’ve implied that they’ve passed through the Ghost Zone before and without Walker’s permission. If I’m remembering Danny’s first meeting with Walker correctly one of Walker’s rules that he broke was bringing in items from outside the Ghost Zone. So it’d say Walker probably has some justification to go after them, on grounds of trespassing and possibly smuggling. Can’t say yet whether they were worth coming after until the next update or so, so we’ll have to wait and see.

And while Walker is a stickler for the rules, I imagine he cares more about his own rules than anyone else’s, so he’s probably not too worried about being on the border of Aku’s territory.

      • silvercover

        07/26/2016 at 4:26pm

well, if we’re thinking of sensible reasons, walker could just be on his way to the council but is taking a detour/break in this place.

That’s the rough equivalent of London hosting a G20 summit and Putin instead choosing to appear at a Hooters in Brooklyn.

          07/26/2016 at 9:42pm

It could simply be that he frequents this bar because it’s a western saloon. Think about Walker’s design – he wears a cowboy hat. Maybe he likes this sort of thing. That, and because the ghost hunters gather there, which could warrant his interest in the place even more.

Still doesn’t make sense from a story point of view. Let’s stop the excuses and just admit that Bleed and NEK go with whatever comes up in their little heads whenever a new page involving Chi needs to be drawn. I still have no idea what Ben 10 characters have to do with this comic, honestly.

Because Bleed gets hard every time he draws Chi’s snooty little face.

  • 07/26/2016 at 9:13am

The long awaited appearance of Walker… and of all places he comes to an outlandish bar in City of Aku for some reason. Ugh… shouldn’t the Cthulhu Train already have picked him up just like it picked up HIM, Aku, Grim & Mandy and most likely Hunson?

Anyway, Chi, get up and continue your ridiculous journey

  • 07/26/2016 at 8:22am

Remember that funny thing I mentioned a while ago about Chi never having moved from her chair? Well I’m not getting any more wrong as time goes on. We’re maintaining a literal standstill. Granted I’m somewhat curious as to who this new person is, if it’s not a complete bombshell, I’ll be disappointed.
