BeeAre: I always thought that X-men movie’s title was a bit weird. …So I thought I would try out a version of it and see how it felt. The page was almost “The Future is Past Days” … Still a little weird. Alliteration is fun, though, right? :0)

This was a great page. Although I’m sad we had to cut away from Naga and Bell’s conversation, we still got a lot of info and character development out of it. I’ve been dying to know what Samantha’s backstory is for a long time now, and rather or not she had full control of herself with those mechanical augmentations. It looks like they may paint here as a sympathetic character here. Maybe she’ll have some sort of heavy-handed backstory as to why she was a cyborg in the first place.

We’ll all be with Grim at this rate if this comic keeps updating so slowly per year. Hoping that Bleedman and Beeare realizes this long before their time comes. This year has been killing many people: David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Prince, and most importantly, the Powerpuff Girls’ dignity in Cartoon Network. I just hope this comic doesn’t die before it ends… (if that makes sense to you)

Same goes for Grim Tales, I guess.

It took me like 3 days and a lot of sleep to figure out what the hell that last word meant. When I put all the pieces together, it finally made sense. Irie is Jamaican for “good” and the such. Even knowing that I wasn’t sure why it was just tacked on at the end, I had figured it was probably just distincting itself from that word’s definition by being a pretty name or something, but didn’t figure it out. However in a mental hiccup recently, I remembered that Grim is here. A lot of thought for a seeming throwaway word, that last word is just Grim agreeing with Naga. Why was this so important to me? Well a friend of mind wondered what the word was, once I looked up what it meant he wondered why it was said. I didn’t know then either.

Haha, what? Three days to google a word you didn’t know.
Granted, I thought it was a name at first, but decided to look it up right away since I wasn’t sure.
I don’t personally think it’s that important of a word other than to overly express Grim’s Jamaican accent.

Seems like we’re getting to see more of Bell and Samantha. Really liking to see some change in Bell. She’s not as dumb as she seems afterall and really worries about her father. As for Samantha, I’m interested in getting to know some more background info on her as well. Villains usually are people with frustrations and hate in their heart, afterall.

This may be totally off topic but….

At least I was right that Bell was based on the ‘perfect little girl’ of the Whoopass Strew. I really like this page, Bell seems to start telling her past and we got Samantha back! I’m interested in both stories, so come at me. Great writing BR!

Transition irks me. I thought the question would be a little more intrusive, or rather, upfront and maybe harsh. This works too.

This… is a very good page. It reminds me of the earlier sagas of PPGD. It does a very good job of calling back to X’s human self, showing that Bell has grown up from some form, and it also seems to be setting up a believable Samantha arc. I for one, am very excited to see how this plays out. My only complaint is that it took us 10 years to get here.

Honestly i have to agree with you 100%. With this page alone i feel like Bleed hit gold after years of hitting iron (minecraft reference, sorry :P). And i have to say seeing Bell before she became who she is now just make me feel sad for her.

Geez, right when Bell and Naga’s conversation startes to delve deeper into times past it cuts to another scene. Oh well, now we get to what’s happening on Samantha’s end.

Naga’s actions have certain moral implications that people with their own kids might find unnerving. Maybe cos Bell isn’t a regular kid, it’s different?

It’s great to see Grim’s accent hamming it up again!

6 years, and Naga is still a cryptic bastard. Oh well, at least we’re getting somewhere…

Awwww no Grim Tales this week.

Huh, so Bell is based on that perfect little girl of the Whoopass Girls cartoon. And I wonder what’s going on wuth Samantha. I know she’s dead, but what’s special about her?

    • 04/22/2016 at 5:09am

The vibes I’m getting from this, is that the “other side”, Naga specifically, chose Samantha’s life or soul personally as some kind of experiment, or something. She was very important to Naga obviously, in some way, but I don’t know why.
