I hope Lico falls breaks every bone and organ in her body and she never returns, because she’s just been an annoying bitch (not the good kind, the kind that makes you groan and want her to not be on screen at all), pointless loli bait all throughout the comic.

    • athdlg

      04/24/2016 at 10:43pm

What’s the good kind of annoying bitch?

      • ULTRADJ

        04/24/2016 at 11:57pm

Well, you know how there’s bad guys you love to hate? You know they’re bad and evil in the story but you love them because of how coy and evil they are? I feel Lico tries to hard to become evil to the point of becoming a stupid ass annoying son of a bitch that I would rather her see die horribly and not come into the comic anymore. I hope it makes sense.

        • athdlg

          04/25/2016 at 10:31am

It makes sense. Opinion on what kind of ‘evil’ characters you happen to enjoy and not enjoy. I wasn’t entirely sure is all. I guess if she’s dead then that’s one less plot point to incorporate, but that wouldn’t make sense since Ginger would have to die with Lico in order for Lico to technically die.

        • silvercover

          04/25/2016 at 1:41pm

nah id say the good kind of annoying bitch are the ones who are competent and skilled enough to back up all their whining.

I myself dont consider lico of that type, as its not like she has been annoying to the other characters. she’s just been annoying to ginger, who in turn is also annoying her because ginger keeps telling her what to do. lico’s more like just a selfish and sadistic bitch.

I mean if thats annoying to you then I guess she is. when thinking of annoying, what brings to mind are characters who keep bothering other characters with their rabble of boasts/whinings.

also in lico’s defense, its not really sure how evil she is. antagonistic yes, but her actions, at least in the original plotline, seemed to be just to get an audience with bleedheart rather than just wanting to fuck up the world. depending on whether lico truly is just a personality of ginger, she’d just be her suppressed desires and anger, which doesnt always translate to evil.

            04/25/2016 at 11:06pm

Hmm, interesting, yeah, I think Lico is indeed some kind of personification of Ginger’s suppressed desires and anger. But towards what and who? Because of her mother’s death? Anger towards Bleedheart who took her mother away then, I guess?

    • athdlg

      04/24/2016 at 10:37pm

That’s not incest. They may see each other once as brother and sister, just like friends do at one point, but they’re not siblings and don’t consider themselves to actually be one anymore.

      • 04/24/2016 at 10:42pm

Doesn’t Hansel blush whenever he’s next to Ginger? Even if it is incest… which it’s not; he’s food, then it was put into the story a long time ago.

anyways, we’ll probably be seeing ginger’s memories, so thats something to look forward to.

assuming that her background was discussed to bleed before, we’ll be getting how lico came to be and more about bleedheart.

of course though, we’ll be seeing ginger having fun with hansel and the others before we got those things.

they could always pull the “time moves faster in your mind” until bleed finishes their conversation.

otherwise perhaps they are starting to notice it already and they will check on her later on, likely interrupting them during the climax of their conversation.

        • athdlg

          04/24/2016 at 3:36pm

That would be an even more disrespectful ending than actually ending it before this sequel.
          I would not like that.

          • silvercover

            04/24/2016 at 3:53pm

this is not a sequel, otherwise lico should have been gone/erased or ginger would still be on house arrest until that issue is resolved.

either way even if lico dies, its not like the story would be over. what could happen is ginger herself going dark and obsessed, kinda like how minnie has been doing.

          • athdlg

            04/24/2016 at 10:35pm

It’s a prequel that is subsequently coming after the midquel. I already know it’s not an actual sequel by story, but it’s still appearing as a sequel by event of what the artist has shown.
Since we’re talking about technical definitions, let’s get real, with a bit of psychology. Death is an organism’s end of life, Lico being a part of Ginger would mean Ginger would technically have to die in order for Lico to die. Ginger would have to merge personalities with Lico in order to ‘get rid of her’. Another way is for the original personality to try and ‘lock away’ their other personality, this is not recommended. This can be more of a burden on the host than having a split personality at all.
The story wouldn’t be over, but a major plot line would if either of these events successfully happen. Currently, Ginger wouldn’t be able to go ‘dark and obsessed’ because that’s already Lico’s job as her split personality, it’s not realistic whatsoever when speaking of the mind. Only way it could logically happen is if Ginger were to fuse with Lico. If their personalities fuse, she probably wouldn’t go as dark and obsessed as you’d want.

          • Grids

            04/24/2016 at 11:21pm

Oh yeah cos all of a sudden this comic wants to worry about being ‘respectful’, sure

          • athdlg

            04/25/2016 at 10:27am

            @Grids
I’ll clarify since my wording was neglectful. The comic could have ended with the memorial page. It would have been nice, simple, and sweet. People would have complained to continue, but it is also understandable why it doesn’t need to be.
Then there is this current idea to continue the comic even though the majority can see that there is a major difference within the story from then and now(whether that person believes the difference is in overall quality that it’s bad or shift in how a story is told but is still good, is up to the individual).
It can still be seen as either wanting to continue the story without acknowledgement of the death of the person who had created the rather unique and original concept and therefore disrespecting the legacy or trying their best to continue the memory and finish the story for what wasn’t nearly finished whatsoever and left too many questions unanswered.
I give Bleed and NEK the benefit of the doubt. Having ending the comic with a “screw it” attitude and adding a comical fall of a character to end an entire series that one person was completely devoted to before their passing is more disrespectful than trying to continue without regard. It’s already a joke to people, but to end it like that is showing that it was all pretty much a joke to begin with.
I know you were kidding, but the comment afterward irked me to believe that you think it’s better to end it like that then to try and continue it further for an actual ATTEMPTED proper ending. It’s not to say it justifies a bad ending, people will have their opinions, but the comment you gave seemed rather disrespectful in itself if the said group is actually trying their best in a good way.
            No one knows.

          • Santessen

            04/25/2016 at 10:38pm

I think another good piece of evidence that Ginger and Lico are permabonded and one cannot be eliminated without the other is the fact that Ginger got an identical (in a different color scheme) dress. There’s no earthly reason for MS to give her one, unless, given his little speech it’s to underline that whatever Lico becomes, so does Ginger and vice-versa.

Speaking of the dress, I’m a little surprised that apparently MS didn’t bother to change Lico’s boots as well. Given they had spent the last page or two ballroom dancing, I assumed she now had pumps on.

            @SANTESSEN
Not sure. It could have that kind of symbolic meaning, but it seems to me to represent how ‘opposite’ but the ‘same’ they are, artistically.

            04/28/2016 at 12:24am

Sorry, I wanna be clear on something. What do you mean by a “screw it” attitude, disrespectful ending, and a comical fall of a character? If you’re referring to what I think you are, that was literally an April Fools joke page that was quickly followed by a proper ending and farewell to both Brave the character and the late writer. At least, that was my take on it. http://snafu-comics.com/swmcomic/en-memorandum/

          • athdlg

            04/28/2016 at 10:15am

            @Sigment
No, I wasn’t referring to those pages. Those pages were light heartedly joking to a very respectful and dedicated to a long time partnership over a good comic. The only time I mentioned the pages was when I noted that I believed the comic could have ended with that instead of continuing with this.
The “screw it” was in regards to when I was talking about Grid’s jokingly (presumably) stating that it would be a perfect chance to end the comic now with a comedic splat of Lico instead of trying to create a proper ending. It struck the wrong cord since it would be highly disrespectful toward the person who created it. Yes, it can be argued that it’s already disrespecting the creator with trying to continue the comic with someone who is equally supported and ejected by the fans due to his current work; however, the attempt to try and make an ending rather than a “screw it” attitude (in reference to Grids comment, not those pages) to end the comic is better, in my opinion.
Hope that clears things up. I realized that I was, again, neglectful with my grammar when I said “and” instead of “by” in the second sentence of the third paragraph. Apologies.

          • Sigment

            04/28/2016 at 7:13pm

I see. Well, I imagine if Grids was joking, it would only be half so. As a writer, he knows this would be a half-assed way to end the comic. However, he does truly (and obviously) despise Melancholy with a fiery passion, as the whole thing up to this point has felt pretty half-assed.

On an unrelated note, I’ve looked back and remembered that, at the very start of SB, Ginger did in fact show similar behavior to that of Melancholy. Though her eyes and outfit showed it was Ginger, her behavior was that of Lico. It wasn’t until Gingy and Bo arrived in Dystopia that Licorice appeared as a separate entity, and even then, she could only be seen by certain individuals.

I gotta say, that always did bug me, so having the two of them in the same body with two minds isn’t so much off-base for me as it is simply confusing. The nature of the pair has never really been clear-cut, so it’s difficult to pin down what caused the separation that occurred during the two year battle, if anything.

It’s a theory. Unless you specifically state that “you know” or that you somehow got in contact with the writer and artist to know, no one cares if it’s right or wrong.
