STORY INFORMATION

The History of Chronos

Chronos, a planet nearly three times the size of Earth. Chronos was populated by some fifty countries for most of recorded history, but three eminent nations have risen above the rest in recent years. Anatolia – a small, centrally located country – was the first to being its expansion. Instead of resorting to brutal invasions and conquests, Anatolia grew through the use of diplomacy. In time, the Republic of Anatolia came to govern nearly half of the world population with its peaceful policies.

Unfortunately, not all nations employed such quiet methods of expansion. The most notorious of these offenders was the country of Maldova. Rather than form a union and adopt its neighbors as free states, the Maldovan dictatorship broadened its horizons through one of the most visceral military campaigns the world had ever witnessed.

By the year 1940, the only country unaffiliated with either the Republic of Anatolia or Maldova was the island nation of Eutavia. Lead by a proud royal family, Eutavia had refused to join the Republic and managed to evade Maldova’s wrath. The latter achievement was mostly due to geology; located far off the mainland, the isle was significantly detached from either behemoth's interests.

With nowhere else to expand, and with most of its economy based in warfare, Maldova set its sights on the Republic of Anatolia. The Republic was first besieged in the winter of 1977; battles waged on until 1998, when the war ended in a stalemate. However, it was not a true tie. Maldova had effortlessly displayed its martial prowess, while the Republic barely eked by. In the aftermath, one fact became painstakingly clear: the Republic of Anatolia lacked military might. With many of its states losing faith in their government, the nation opted to build up its forces. The Republic was ready when Maldova attacked a second time in the year 2201, over two centuries later. While the conflict ended in another stalemate in 2226, this time the Republic deftly held its ground. However, the war took its toll. With much of their military personnel dead or debilitated, the Republic of Anatolia was left lacking in manpower.

The Birth of the SIREN Combat Apparatus

The SIREN (Synapse Integrated Reflex Enhancing Neurosuit) apparatus was first developed in the year 2230 by Dr. Alfred Quail. Although originally intended as an advanced prosthetic, the Republic of Anatolia took an interest in the technology soon after its release. Government researchers had modified the apparatus into a fully functioning combat machine by 2232. Early models were slow and bulky, affording limited use on the battlefield. Since the machines employed treads to enable movement, they were essentially light tanks with less firepower. In the subsequent years, further research produced increasingly versatile units.

In an effort to keep their martial endeavors hidden from the public – and thus Maldova – the Republic contracted the privately owned Celsius Corporation to further develop the SIREN apparatus in 2245. Located in the Republic's sprawling capital, Neo Thermopolis, Celsius researched and refined the apparatus for over a decade. The year is now 2256. The weapons corporation has prepared an array of combat-ready SIRENs for use. In order to field test the machines, Project EPSILON has been created. Celsius has selected members from every branch of the Republic's military to participate in EPSILON, and issued a SIREN to each recruit for their own personal use.

SCOUT
Lightweight SIRENs that are ideal for high-speed combatants. Scout models are capable of reaching velocities up to 70 MPH with their rear thrusters. As the name suggests, this model is not heavily armored and relies on the pilot's reflexes to avoid taking damage. Scout SIRENs can equip up to two DART weapons and one carried weapon at a time; however, due to their design, they are restricted to the more compact armaments. This type is best suited for weaponry such as submachine guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, and small arms like pistols.

ASSAULT
These models are considered the next frontier in SIREN technology. Assault SIRENs strike a pragmatic balance, sacrificing high speeds for hardy design. This model can shrug off small arms fire with ease, although it should be noted that the limit of its defenses has not been fully tested. This type is capable of reaching velocities up to 35 MPH and can equip four DART weapons and one carried weapon at once. In addition to typical Scout weaponry, Assault SIRENs can use light machine guns and grenade launchers.

HEAVY
These fortified models are the unbreakable shields in the SIREN lineup. Heavy SIRENs are endowed with more armor than any other type, and can deflect assault rifle rounds as if they were houseflies. Due to its bulky composition, a Heavy SIREN can only achieve speeds up to 15 MPH on flat terrain. This model can store a whopping seven DART weapons and one carried weapon at any given time. In addition to Scout and Assault weapons, Heavy SIRENs can handle rocket launchers, mortars, and other mobile turret-type weaponry.

The DART Weapons System

Among the advantages of the SIREN apparatus is its DART (Digital Armament Replication Tool) system. When Celsius was assigned to develop the apparatus, initial field tests indicated that a unit's speed was significantly reduced when physical weaponry was equipped. In response, the DART system was designed and implemented into the apparatus' prototype. Physically the system looks like nothing more than an average gun handle. DART is able to scan corporeal weapons and digitally replicate them in the unit's internal hard drive. After replication, the pilot can cycle through their virtual arsenal in the blink of an eye through use use of their SIREN's HUD. Unfortunately, DART is not without its limits. The system is unable to replicate projectiles, so ammunition must be acquired in person. Also, due to the massive amount of data needed to store armaments, only a small number of weapons (typically two to seven) can be saved in a single SIREN at once. Due to the experimental nature of DART, it was also decided that all SIRENs should be outfitted with one emergency non-DART firearm should the system malfunction.

1) While it shouldn’t be an issue, please – no god-modding.
2) Your character must be in Celsius' Project EPSILON. You are allowed to make a character from a country other than the Republic of Anatolia, but you must PM me first with the details first so I can decide if your idea is plausible.
3) You MUST stick to the limitations of your SIREN's type. I will not allow anyone to increase their type's max speed or weapon capacity. That said if you want to reduce your speed for additional armor I'll consider it.
4) Melee weaponry is a no no. It's a military RP and the military uses guns. If you use a sword I will personally see to it that your character ends up like the guy from Indiana Jones.
5) Have fun.

This RP borrows loosely from the video game Vanquish. If you’ve played this game, kudos. If not, see this video to get an idea of how a Scout or Assault SIREN might move (sorry Heavys – I don’t have a video for you just yet).

Isaiah stands tall at 6’ 2”, weighing in at 215 lbs. He’s the stereotypical soldier, well toned and always seeming to be on edge. The only thing keeping Isaiah from being a perfect military clone is his dark brown hair, which he keeps messy, unkempt, and above all well past the regulation military length. Isaiah’s eyes are a dull hazel color, carrying with them a sharp glare among other emotions.

Clothing: Isaiah is proud of his military career and thus likes to flaunt it in his choice of attire. While on base he’ll always be seen in his uniform, outside he’s almost never seen without his Army jacket. Strangely enough his attire seems to have a direct effect on his behavior. When in uniform, Isaiah is formal, strict, and to the point. Once the camouflage is off though, Isaiah becomes as rambunctious as a frat boy. Aside from his military jacket, Isaiah enjoys a comfortable pair of jeans, sneakers, and a black tank top.

Personality: As said before, Isaiah tends to be a bit bipolar given the situation. On duty he doesn’t waver from his to the point attitude, preferring to keep things professional. Once the uniform comes off though, Isaiah becomes a genuinely fun loving guy.

Despite this, Isaiah does have one character flaw, that being his addictive personality. During his time in the military, Isaiah has shown up to work a disturbing number of times with the smell of alcohol still fresh on his breath. In addition, he has struggled off and on with substance abuse, which he has luckily been able to keep out of the military spotlight. Nowadays Isaiah enjoys the occasional drink and cigar and has remained “clean” for the last ten years.

Background: Isaiah grew up in western Anatolia, which by earthen ethnicity standards would make him Irish. Unfortunately for Isaiah, he didn’t fit the ginger stereotype that was so common in the region and actually wound up being ridiculed for it by his peers. Perhaps that was what started his downfall, but no one can say for sure. By the time he was 12, Isaiah had already began experimenting with alcohol, often sneaking out of class to score some booze whenever he could. The problem only got worse as he got older, expanding into a rather obvious substance abuse issue. It started off small with bottles of Nyquil and progressed into more severe drugs such as marijuana and even cocaine on a few occasions.

All that changed when Isaiah’s parents had him thrown into a clinic at the ripe old age of 16. Isaiah was released a year later after it was deemed that his disorder was “within reason.” After this, Isaiah joined up with the Republican Army. He seemed to enjoy it enough, and the military kept him on the straight and narrow well enough so that he didn’t slip back into his addictions. Even still he received more than a few verbal warnings from his supervisors regarding his alcohol use. Despite this, Isaiah was a good soldier, quick to action and always aware of his surroundings.

It became obvious later on that Isaiah was squad leader material, being given his first squad at age 23. They saw little front line action, instead being used more for border patrol and security detail for the Senate. Nevertheless, Isaiah’s skills with firearms caught the attention of the higher ups and he was soon approached with prospects of weapons testing.

Isaiah was pulled from active duty at 25, and placed into a government weapons testing program. During that time, Isaiah became familiar with every form of weaponry the Republic had to offer. From pistols to rocket launchers, Isaiah has fired everything at least once. It was due to this obvious affinity for weapons that Celsius selected him for Project EPSILON. Before Isaiah could so much as question the details, he was on the first bus to Neo Thermopolis.

The Avalon stands only a few inches taller than Isaiah. This Assault SIREN was designed as a slimmer version of the prototype. It was designed to be an overall effective unit, rather than specializing in speed, like common Scout SIRENs, or defense, like most heavys. Avalon is capable of sync up with other SIRENs, allowing Isaiah to issue quick orders to his squad mates and conduct perfectly timed maneuvers.

M249 SAW

The M249 light machine gun (LMG), previously designated the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW), and formally written as Light Machine Gun, 5.56 mm, M249, is an American version of the Belgian FN Minimi, a light machine gun manufactured by the Belgian company FN Herstal (FN). The M249 is manufactured in the United States and is widely used by the U.S. Armed Forces. The weapon was introduced in 1984 after being judged the most effective of a number of candidate weapons to address the lack of automatic firepower in small units. The gun provides infantry squads with the heavy volume of fire of a machine gun combined with accuracy and portability approaching that of a rifle.
The M249 is gas operated and air cooled. It has a quick-change barrel, allowing the gunner to rapidly replace an overheated or jammed barrel. A folding bipod is attached near the front of the gun, though an M192 LGM tripod is also available. It can be fed from both linked ammunition and STANAG magazines, like those used in the M16 and M4. This allows the SAW gunner to use rifleman's magazines as an emergency source of ammunition in the event that he runs out of linked rounds. However, this will often cause malfunctions because the magazine spring has difficulty feeding rounds quickly enough to match the SAW's high cyclic rate.

AO-63

The AO-63 is a Soviet two-barrel assault rifle, capable of fully automatic fire, chambered for the 5.45 x 39 mm round. It can reach a maximum rate of fire of 6000 rounds/min, when fired in two-round burst mode, making it the fastest firing assault rifle known. Isaiah employs the over under barrel design of this weapon, preferring the improved accuracy and precisions over the wider spread of the side to side barrel models. Rather than lug around the 100 round drum cartridges, Isaiah prefers the 50 round magazines.

M32 MGL

The MGL (Multiple Grenade Launcher) is a lightweight 40 mm semi-automatic, 6-shot grenade launcher developed and manufactured in South Africa. The MGL is a multiple-shot weapon, intended to significantly increase a small squad's firepower when compared to traditional single-shot grenade launchers like the M203. The MGL is designed to be simple, rugged, and reliable. It uses the well-proven revolver principle to achieve a high rate of accurate fire which can be rapidly brought to bear on a target. A variety of rounds such as HE, HEAT, anti-riot baton, irritant, and pyrotechnic can be loaded and fired as fast as the trigger can be pulled; the cylinder can be loaded or unloaded rapidly to maintain a high rate of fire. Although intended primarily for offensive and defensive use with high-explosive rounds, with appropriate ammunition the launcher is suitable for anti-riot and other security operations. A newly patented modification allows the MGL to fire less lethal (very low pressure) rounds.

Saiga-12

The Saiga-12 is a Kalashnikov-pattern 12 gauge combat shotgun available in a wide range of configurations. Like the Kalashnikov rifle variants, it is a rotating bolt, gas-operated gun that feeds from a box magazine. All Saiga-12 configurations are recognizable as Kalashnikov-pattern guns by the large lever-safety on the right side of the receiver, the optic mounting rail on the left side of the receiver and the large top-mounted dust cover held in place by the rear of the recoil spring assembly.

The Heckler & Koch MP5 (from German: Maschinenpistole 5, "machine pistol model 5") is a 9mm submachine gun of German design, developed in the 1960s by a team of engineers from the German small arms manufacturer Heckler & Koch GmbH (H&K) of Oberndorf am Neckar. The MP5 is currently one of the most widely used submachine guns in the world, having been adopted by numerous law enforcement agencies and special forces groups. In the 1990s, Heckler & Koch developed the Heckler & Koch UMP, the MP5's successor, though both remain in production.

Name: Sharline McGovern (given name pronounced shar-LEEN)

Age: 24

Sex: Female

Appearance: Sharline's expression is usually passive and good-natured. Her face is quick to show alarm; during missions and tense situations, her brow is constantly furrowed in anxiety. The woman's skin is a pale, peaches-and-cream color, the byproduct of hours spent inside. Her irises are dark blue, which she likes to compliment with a light, professional application of eye makeup. Her bistre hair falls past her shoulders, but she usually twists it into an updo during work.

Rather tall for a female, Sharline possesses an unusually slight build. Her weak frame is due to both genetics and poor eating habits (although the latter is typical of someone living alone). Her shoulders and torso are contrasted by relatively normal hips, where most of her body fat accumulates on a wide, healthy pelvis. These qualities form a noticeably uneven silhouette. She is 5'8" and weighs 122 pounds.

Clothing: At Celsius, Sharline wears understated clothing in subdued colors beneath her white lab coat. The young woman usually carries a pair of silver-rimmed reading glasses and a clipboard on her person. During her free time, she prefers “cuter” clothes, and enjoys shopping at stores that cater to the younger female demographic.

Typical work attire

Personality: Mild-mannered yet friendly, Sharline is agreeable to most people. She is a tender young woman, sometimes too considerate for her own good. These gentle qualities make her a natural mediator. Sharline has a keen sense of intuition, and is adept at reading subtle shifts in mood and body language. In day-to-day life, one might consider her the easygoing type. She prefers to do things at her own pace, becoming stressed if given a time limit. Sharline mulls over her options before committing to a decision, and is not one to jump into things rashly. She has a tendency to drift off into thought; at such moments, her face can appear quite blank.

Although laidback with professional acquaintances, Sharline is shy when meeting people outside of work. In such situations, she has to force herself to be outgoing, and will feel grateful if the other person takes the initiative. Because of this timidness, strangers often perceive her as aloof and apathetic. She is most at ease around her parents and college friends, when she truly loosens up, revealing a playful and effervescent personality.

Background: Sharline McGovern was born in the year 2232, to Ted and Colette McGovern. She grew up in the small port town of La Salle on the southeastern coast of the Republic. Ted, as a Republican emissary, was often sent across the sea to negotiate trade relations with Eutavia; this left twenty-something Colette to raise an infant Sharline by herself. As they spent the long stretches of time together, the mother and daughter developed a deeply close relationship. Although Ted returned home every few months, the pair were soon inseparable.

Sharline was a vivacious child. Literally glowing with energy, the girl was voted “Miss Enthusiasm” by her kindergarten class. She was always the first to speak up, usually interrupting a classmate – or teacher – in the process. This charisma made her popular among her peers, and one could often spot young Colette carting her daughter's entourage around La Salle on play dates. The halcyon days continued for several years, but a drastic turn of events loomed in the future. As Sharline approached adolescence, her outgoing demeanor faltered. Her body developed quickly, reaching its adult height and build by age fourteen; in a sea of diminutive classmates, she towered over friends like a giraffe. Uneasy in her own skin, the lanky girl felt timid and shy. Her throng of sidekicks noticed the shift in personality, and as their idol's charisma disappeared, so did they.

Since her social life had skidded to a halt by high school, Sharline decided to focus herself on schoolwork instead. Her passion was computers; an avid Internet user, the girl found herself fascinated by all computer-related technology. Ted, now at home more regularly, helped his daughter with her complex classes before dinner. After graduating from high school with a respectable GPA, Sharline was accepted into her first-choice college, Wilson Beach University. The institute's only caveat was its location – six hours away, in the distant city of Wilson Beach. Both the girl and her parents dreaded the move. Sharline was especially scared about leaving her mother; although she would miss both parents, living without Colette seemed unbearable. The first months away were the hardest, and filled with several video calls home.

After a rocky first semester, Sharline began to acclimate to college life. Her personality was slowly changing, too. By then 19, she had finally overcome her body insecurities (although her shyness persisted). With a steady stream of friends and fascinating coursework, the next four years passed by seamlessly. She graduated with honors from WBU in 2254, earning double degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering. Unfortunately, the job market presented a sea of closed doors for a 22-year-old woman. Ted – who had acquired several elite connections during his time in the government – managed to secure his daughter an interview with the Celsius Corporation, a weapons development firm in Neo Thermopolis.

Celsius was impressed by Sharline's intellect, as well as her technological savvy. She was hired as a junior logistics analyst and placed under the supervision of Grant Eckhart. Eckhart – an executive in the top echelon of the company – was working as the head of S-DAT (SIREN Development and Testing). With almost fifty members, S-DAT boasted a crew of eminent scientists and renowned developers, leaving Sharline certain she was the least-qualified person on the team. Eckhart sensed this apprehension, and developed a soft spot for the unsure young woman. When she eagerly responded to his kindness, the executive – charmed by her friendliness – took her under his wing.

With Eckhart's protection, Sharline eased into the new job. As she observed her superiors and completed basic assignments, the young woman amassed a growing pool of knowledge about SIREN technology. When the team made strides in enhancing and refining the system, several brave developers took it upon themselves to test the apparatus firsthand. S-DAT began preliminary field testing in the winter of 2254, with the adventurous Eckhart among the initial volunteers. Sharline enjoyed watching him from behind the plexiglass wall as she ate her lunch; carousing around the testing facility in his bulky Assault suit, the man looked more like a child than a top Celsius executive.

Within a year, almost everyone in S-DAT had been outfitted with a personal SIREN. Sharline was among the last to hold off, but when general consensus deemed the apparatus safe, her curiosity got the better of her. Eckhart handpicked her SIREN himself: the Sepia – a basic, yet reliable, Scout model. As the months passed, Sharline grew adept with her new SIREN. The unit, which was lightweight and relatively user-friendly, afforded her lightning-fast agility and reflexes. After every member of S-DAT was comfortable with the system, Eckhart decided to begin the final phase of testing. Celsius initiated Project Epsilon in the year 2256, and requested distinguished members from the Republican military to test drive the apparatus. CEO James Declan was to head the project, with Eckhart reporting to him as project coordinator. Although many of their colleagues were relocated to new programs, Eckhart chose to keep Sharline by his side.

Appearance: Kirill is small, 5’3”, and thin with very pale skin. He is severely lacking the muscle that most military men have, and is slightly embarrassed by his body. His left leg is amputated below the hip and his left arm up to mid-forearm was removed; both have been replaced by black mechanical prosthetic. The places where the metal connects to nerves still cause considerable pain which he has to take painkillers for once a day. He almost always have a small frown and drawn eyebrows.

‘Rill has big green eyes with dark bruise like circles underneath them, as pain causes his lack of sleep. He has a small amount of freckles around his crooked nose, broken in a fight with his older brother when they were young. He has soft orangy-copper hair that just covers his ears with a single black lock of hair down the middle of forehead reaching his eyes, an inch longer than the rest of his bangs.

Clothing: ‘Rill wears his long cream trench-coat and a dark red tank top under a dark blue button-up shirt opened to under his ribs. He wears a smaller version of the pink scarf he puts on his SIREN which covers his mouth and slightly muffles his speech. He wears simple brown slacks and leather shoes of the same colour.

Personality: Rill is a timid and quiet man with heavy reservations against others. Often while in the midst of battle, his mind blocks out the fact that these are people that he is fighting seeing only the mission and his orders. He is a soldier not a socialiser. He’s sweet-tempered and even-minded, thinking logically with sporadic empathy. He avoids people as much as possible but does exactly what told. He has a long temper and the only time he has been mad was when he found his brother was hurting their father. He feels guilt for his actions then, but feels that he did the right thing.

Background: ‘Rill had a fairly normal childhood, aside from his older brother Mstislav, who -- afflicted with a severe personality disorder -- tried to kill him repeatedly. But ‘Rill just thought it was a normal thing for older brothers to do. He went through school so battered and bruised that the CSA was called repeatedly on his father, who was always aquitted, as he had done nothing wrong.

Things took a change after ‘Rill turned ten. Mstislav started outright torturing him, using whips and knives and chemicals from school. To avoid his brother, ‘Rill took to staying out as much as possible. He did not want to tell his father, or the police. Mstislav was his brother, and Father always said that was the most important thing. He watched the military march by every day, and became enamoured with their strength and dignity. He wanted that.

By seventeen, Kirill Galia joined the military’s ROTC program and worked hard. He loved his country and was happy to serve; despite all the cracks about his size, he was close to his comrades and it was a pleasure to work with the artillery. After Cpl. Kirill Galia was allowed some leave to visit his father a year later, he heard his brother up one night. So he followed Mstislav. What he discovered hurt him beyond anything else. Mstislav, his older brother who had tortured him for fun and tried to kill him, was now attacking his father. The one who taught that family was above all else.

Kirill did what he felt had to do. He shot his brother, twice in the head, killing him for his transgression. He would not allow his father to be hurt like Mstislav had hurt him. His superiors helped cover up the murder and there was no trial, but Kirill could no longer look his father in the face.

Not long after, Kirill was captured by enemies searching for information. He can still remember their laughs as they cut him and tortured him. Ironically, it was his brother's torture that kept him from talking, and when they found him useless, they started to cut him apart just as his team came to save him.

Kirill was outfitted with prosthetics for his left arm and leg, and he fought to rejoin the military. He needed the military. His wounds still caused him considerable pain, but he lied about the pain and was permitted into active duty. He is now twenty and he is prepared for the war against those who would destroy his beloved country.

Name: IVAN 4 V.O.D.K.A.

Physical Description: Bulkier than the base SIREN, the IVAN stands two feet taller than ‘Rill at 9’3” and 1000lbs. The metal is silver and almost sharp in design, it also has a large face with a black face. The feet are rather large as well as the extra large hands. ‘Rill, for some reason, also wraps a long pink scarf around the neck of the IVAN.

The Abwehrflammenwerfer 42 was a German static defensive flamethrower, flame fougasse or flame mine used during the Second World War. That depends on your SIREN type. If you're a Heavy, everything is open from pistols to mobile turrets. Or were you curious as to the technology level available?

Ah, well in that case it'll mostly be more advanced versions of the weapons we have today. Nothing out there like giant laser cannons but you get the idea. Your weapon's could fire explosive, incendiar, or other types of rounds.

Appearance:

Jack Claus is an average joe, just with an unnatural hair color. His body size, is more of a short medium sized guy. He has a weight of 180 lbs with a height of 5’ 7’’. Not exactly king of the world like some people, but it works out for him. Jack has no scars on his body nor does he have any facial hair as he shaves often.

As mentioned earlier, Jack’s hair is unusual. It's a shade of a granny smith apple. And its style is like this the back of his hair is short while the front of it is long, long enough to cover or hide his left eye however that is just his causal look. Whenever Jack is serious he will run his hands through hair and push his green hair back making him look slick. The color of his iris is amber and the look he has with those peepers looks seemingly friendly. He can have the occasional smile on his face when something catches his fancy.

Clothing:

Depending on Jack’s mood, he has two types of seemingly causal clothing. The first type, he wears is a black winter jacket that has brownish black fur around the forearm areas, the outer lining of hood, and the lining of the jacket so pretty much similar an Eskimo’s coat. He tends to have the jacket open, which reveals that he wears a white cotton shirt underneath. Other than that his pants much like his jacket are black. On his hands, Jack even wears weird looking gloves, which is mostly black expect for the fingertips, their brown and on his feet is black sneakers. Over his eyes, Jack dons black visors.

The other type as mentioned earlier is more of a summer wear than winter wear. When Jack Claus is in the mood, he’ll don a red Hawaii shirt that has yellow and green flora pattern and has a pocket on the left breast. For pants, it’s definitely a pair of jeans that are a shade of solid blue. The socks in this attire, are definitely black and the shoes, are black and white with pearl white laces. A black belt with a golden buckle is wrapped around Jack’s waist and attached to his belt is a cell phone that has a weird looking character on it. The weird character is a black alien with one constantly blinking red eye.

Personality:

Jack is a strange one, an odd ball if you will. He’ll listen to what you have to say, but his answers are usually in a form of a question or a simple “I see.”, "uh-huh.", or " That's understandable." He tends to over think things and makes too many assumptions however that’s not always a bad thing. Jack unfortunately is a little paranoid, but not to a degree where he needs to hide in some ditch to wait for the heat to cool off so to speak. He has this usual habit of eating a lot of cheese products, and on his personal he carries a small cheese knife. In certain place, Jack tends to turn down the temperature as he prefers to be in cool environments.

Jack’s knowledge of the technical field is moderate at best, but this depends on what he is working on. On his spare time, he'll either build gadgets or upgrade current gadgets. And if not that, he studies Cryogenic. Which is a study of very low temperatures, how to produce them, and how materials behave at those temperatures. The one thing that Jack is an expert at is being a Demolitionist. If something needs demolishing, Jack is the man, they call.

Background:

Jack Claus has a solid military service of ten years. At the age of 25, Jack has earned the rank of Corporal. For his assigned squads in the Republic of Anatolia, Jack has acted as a demolionist due to his explosive hobbies. He hasn't had any particular issues in the service nor any problems with any of the squads he was apart of.

Jack was assigned EPSILON Project to due his stellar service record and previous experience with the first generation of SIRENS. Jack accepted the assigned as he enjoyed the idea of working again with his old pal and drinking buddy, William Livingstone, currently a scientist of Celsius. Any projects of William's was guarantee to have risks, but to Jack testing the full potential of said projects is fulfilling especially if it assists the Republic.


_ The Previous Experience_ Trial Gamma

" Are we ready to begin this?" Jack radioed

" Status of the first generation Siren Cocytus is good. You're clear to begin with trial run Gamma." - William answered.

A 7 foot giant mechanical man with a tank for a lower torso, suddenly slammed its metallic hands together. "Roger that, throw everything and the kitchen sink at me. " Jack commented as from within the cockpit, he caused the tank threads of his robot to move forward. The right arm, picked up a XM 25 on the way to the testing grounds. From 300 kilometer away three target raised up from the testing ground floor.

" Shoot all three targets." William ordered

Inside the cockpit, Jack's main screen registered the targets as targets with bright green triangles and calculated the distance between those targets from its position. On the right, Jack typed in a set of commands on the console. " Got ya, William." Jack replied as the right mechanical arm raised up its weapon and discharged a hail of smart bullets. One by One the targets exploded thanks the explosive ammunition. " Hmmm, I think, you should re-adjust the offset of the right arm. I felt, I could have probably hit those targets faster." Jack said to William as he continued to drive his machine to the next test site.

" Copy that, I'll have that worked out for the time. Now prepare for the next sequence. Today, I'm going to need you to take down three enemy in the iron maze." William said as he gave Jack the next objective.

" Not a problem, should I worry about live ammunition?" Jack questioned as he entered the next test site dubbed as the Iron Maze. Three robotic drones rose from the ground somewhere within the maze. The robot, Jack is piloting, begins to reload its weapon the XM25. " I really don't want to die in this tin can of yours, William." He stated over the radio to William.

" Oh, grow a pair. Do you honestly think, I would start using live ammo, this early, Jack. Relax its paintballs, but all the same treat them as live ammo." William reassured Jack.

" Well that's a reli..oh shit." Jack declared as he spotted one of the drones coming out of a corner. The right arm of his machine pointed its gun at the drone and fired a few exploding rounds at the drone before it could fire. " One done, and aw shit, another one coming from the rear." Jack complained as one of the screens on his console revealed a drone that popped up behind him. Jack pulled a few levers and was jerked back as his machine propelled itself in the air thanks to the bottom boosters. The walls and floor where Jack was, was covered by green paint, missing him by a few seconds.

While in the air, Jack with his right pushed a few sequence of buttons while his left turned a controller as he made the torso, turn 180 degrees. The right arm lowered its gun at the next drone and returned fire, blowing the drone left arm and head off. The main screen suddenly became filled with a green "WARNING". " Bigger fuel tanks, William! Much bigger!" Jack shouted while he struggled with his now falling robot tank. He passed right above of the one of the walls, only to crash on top of the third drone, by accident.

" Not bad, Jack. You've gotten a much better time this time around, through I recommend for the next time, don't use my baby as an Avril." William remarked.

Jack took off his helmet and smacked it on his control console. " God damn it." He cursed.

















SIREN Profile

Name: Cocytus MK. 3

Type: Heavy

Physical Description: Image

A giant behemoth on the battlefield. Unlike most heavies, the color is a solid white with an icy blue secondary color. Besides that, unlike most heavies, the Cocytus SIREN is piloted much like a mech and not like an armor. However, the pilot suit is still wore.

Weapons:

Emergency Weapon<1> Cryro-Spewer, a chemical weapon of William Livingstone's own design. It sprays liquid nitrogen contained in a modified dewar flask that are located in the forearms of the Cocytus SIREN. It is the emergency weapon of said, SIREN.

<2> The Jötunheimr, a modified M202 FLASH. It is a rocket launcher, that fires a special type of rocket much like the FGM-148 Javelin, that locks on a target and guilds itself to it. However, the rocket itself explodes into more smaller rockets that contains a compound of William's creation that freezes upon impact.

<3> The Jötunn, is it a 40mm grenade launching machine gun. It fires multipliable exploding rounds, smart rounds like the XM25 and the XM307, that are programmable and burst. However, instead of a regular explosive, it releases a freezing agent upon the unexpecting target.

<4>M32 Grenade Launcher

<5>XM25, that fires smart rounds, air burst grenades, that detonates when the user programs it to.

<6>SMAW-NE Rocket Launcher, it posses different types of missile ammunition for different targets. Takes down, caves, bunkers, tanks, robotic drones, and especially other SIRENS.

<7>FGM-148 Javelin w/ Anti-tank missile, the rocket locks on a target and guilds itself to it.

*There's some flexibility in terms of “Specs.” For example, if you wanted your Scout to have a hardier make, you could lower its Max Speed to 60 MPH for a boost in Defense.

@Iris: That'd be two but unfortunately DART doesn't support dual wielding. Don't worry that'll get upgraded later as the RP progresses and the technology gets better.

EDIT: I noticed some conflicting information in Rule 3 and the end of the CS. It has now been updated.

@Asmo: Working on a picture for that now. Kei has the right idea making her's around 7'. Although like I told her if your primary skill was sniping its likely you'd be assigned a Scout model rather than a Heavy. After all Heavys are really only effective on flat terrain and not very good at climbing into proper sniping locations.

hmm screw heavy... I'm going melee scout with plasma knifes (it's actually a real thing, surgeons already use it and it's been approved for military testing about a year ago)
That would be a whole lot more fun to RP as than standing in the back taking pot shots (pot shots that would obliterate anything that would get hit though)

Cloaking tech, is that a possibility? Seeing as we're already developing stuff like that

As per your plasma knives, read Rule 4.

Sorry the rules got botched up during the last edit. Melee's aren't allowed as a main weapon, only support. There will be no futuristic samurai in this.

Cloaking technology does not exist    yet. It get's developed later.

Appearance: Jarek is 6'1" tall, weighing in at 195 pounds. He is heavily tanned, with icy blue eyes, and short jet black hair. He has several scars on his arms, from military service, and incidents from his childhood.

Clothing: Black leather jacket, faded blue jeans with black leather boots

Personality: Usually has an angry look to his face, but is never actually angry. Very sarcastic and light hearted, but knows when to be serious. He enjoys a night with friends at the nearest bar, getting drunk and listening to Heavy metal, to the usual distaste of the locals.

Skills: free runner, skilled with automatic rifles and shotguns.

Background: Jarek was born in the slums of a small town near the borders of Anatolia. He was a good kid until the age of 8, when he started causing trouble for everyone around him. He was always running from place to place, taking the most absurd route he could think of. Most people thought he was suicidal, or just wanted to hurt himself. He got mixed up in all sorts of trouble until he straightened himself out at the age of 18, when both of his parents died during a gang shootout and his house was burned down. The max speed for Assault SIRENs is 35 mph. Also you're going to need to add more history before it's finished. In addition, you don't "volunteer" for Project Epsilon, you're selected and sent off without a clue as to what you'll be doing.

That goes for everyone, btw. Nobody knows about Project Epsilon. The only thing your character should start off knowing is that they've been assigned to Celsius for a "new government project."
