_____________________________________________________________ The Plot:
A small guild of humble beginnings, Infinite Serenade quickly became one of the top guilds within Enrein, lauded all over the land for it's powerful patrons and status as one of the nation's most profitable guilds. Such status was not without its flaws however, and the more fame the guild celebrated, the more envious those outside of the spotlight became. One such party even went so far as to attack Infinite Serenade without warning, taking advantage of the fact that the guild's master (and most powerful member) had gone missing days earlier.
The battle didn't last long. Infinite Serenade was completely and utterly defeated in a flash. Sure, the guild had its share of powerful players, but they were no match for their envious assailants. Unable to face the harrowing defeat and heavy losses, the guild all but disbanded, save for two members. Alicia Hayley and Ciara McClellan.
Both were on missions during the attack, and by the time they had finished up their respective duties the guild had already been abandoned. Rather than go their separate ways like the others before them, however, the two banded together, taking on posts as the guild's interim masters and started to work on rebuilding the guild. And to do that, a little headhunting was in order. Spreading word throughout Enrein, Alicia and Ciara have begun a hiring spree for Infinite Serenade.
Adventurers and hunters of all sorts are invited, nay, encouraged to apply.
_____________________________________________________________ The Setting:
The Infinite Serenade Guild building is a large wooden structure that is worn with both time and weathering… and the occasional fight, yet it still has managed to hold a homey feeling that welcomes even the most cold-hearted individuals. This kindly old building has the look of being loved and well-taken care of despite its age and wear. It’s worn edges form runners tapping the edge while on their trail has left the left corner indented slightly. With a view of the beautiful Tor Mountains, that even the hustle and bustle of Reis City can’t hide, the Infinite Serenade Guild has quite the location. In Reis City, it’s told that if you want anything, you can find it there, and so far, nobody’s been able to say that they haven’t left more than satisfied.
Once inside, you’ll come across a welcome desk and a classic fireplace to the right with an old fashioned bar and a place for meeting. At the back of the meeting room, in between the cafeteria and the bar, there’s bathroom stalls for men and women. To the immediate left of the welcome desk is a wooden staircase that leads to the second and third floors. To the left of the stairs in the front-left side of the first floor is the med bay for all those who are injured or need rehabilitation. Behind the med bay is the cafeteria and a kitchen for those talented with devouring food or preparing it. On the back wall of the cafeteria is the bulletin board, where all jobs of all levels except for S class are posted for all to see.
The second floor staircase leads to the hallway that leads you to the men’s and women’s dorms (an option for any guild member) with restrooms in each, and the third leads to the guild master’s office. Outside, behind the guild’s kitchen, is the training area. There’s a track, and an overly large weight-lifting area and basically everything that you would consider to be training equipment.
Enrein- A larger nation made up of a cornucopia of both peoples and ecozones, Enrein is a relatively peaceful nation, though the royal family has been known to scuffle with other nations (and rebellious towns) once in a great while. Enrein has been considered one of the more powerful countries around just by the sheer concentration of skilled fire mages that frequent its capital, Aria.
Aria- A walled, multi-tiered city full of white buildings and fire mages said to be a near- impenetrable fortress. The royal family of Enrein, the House of Lunare, dwells here. (Not to mention a few dozen nobles and quite a bit of common folk.)
Aria Minor- Aria's only link to the rest of the nation, Aria Minor is more a cable car service to and from the capital city than an actual town, sending car after car over the chasm that is home to Lake Seral.
Elendere- Not much information is known about this town. The last person to describe it referred to Elendere as 'a ghost town nestled within a barren wasteland'. And that was over 100 years ago. Most Enreni are content to just ignore the existence of the town and even the island that it's situated on.
Erevin- Small farming town. Most of Enrein's produce comes from this area.
Erisal- A small island town known for it's sororal coven of water mages. And excellent alcohol. Those of Erisal have great animosity towards the current royal family due to heavy losses during a recent rebellion sparked by the town.
Port Arante- Small fishing port. The majority of the nation's seafood comes from this town.
Port Lia- Enrein's main port. Most sea freight is routed through here.
Teren- Known as a training mecca for plant mages due to its location next to a forest and a swamp (not to mention being on the plains), Teren is an excellent place to take in the greener wonders of nature and maybe pick up a few potions. (Lots of plant mages equal lots of potions.)
Reis- A city with a sprinkling of everything, and home to the guild Infinite Serenade. (This is where the first part of the RP takes place.)
Reylan- An exclusive vacation spot for nobles filled with mansions, expensive restaurants, and high-end shops. The non-nobility that work there call Reylan home as well, though their homes are somewhat... segregated from the buildings the nobles frequent.
Mount Torae- Enrein's tallest mountain. Rumored to be home to a family of dragons.
Irale- A desert nation to the west of Enrein. The Iralian people are generally neutral towards those from Enrein, though they can become hostile at a moment's notice.
Arelis- A nation of multiple biomes to the southwest of Enrein. Currently allied with the Enreini due to favorable relations with the House of Lunare.
-Where you start in Reis is up to you. If your character is in a bar/shop/etc., feel free to describe the place in your own words. The only areas I/we have visual hold over are the guild and what you see on the map. Also, if you go join another player at a place that the other player described, you are subject to his or her existing description. Also, most buildings and transportation should be Fairy Tail style.
_____________________________________________________________ Rules and Considerations:
- This RP uses ideas from the manga series Fairy Tail as a base. No other relation to said manga will be humored.
- You do not have to be a mage. There is a plethora of non-magical proficiencies that are quite useful in this RP, such as hand-to-hand fighting, swordsmanship, archery, alchemy (potions n' stuff, not Fullmetal) etc.
- All characters have access to anything a normal human could do for self-defense (punch, kick, block, throw, etc.) no matter what ability he or she had been gifted with.
- Use color dialogue. One color per character. (Different players can use the same color if necessary.)
- Use location markers. It’s easier to keep track of characters this way.
- Your character's importance in the story will be directly related to its player's participation. The more you participate, the more important your character will be. If a player disappears for whatever reason I will work around it.
- There's no specific time limit for joining the actual guild, and the way by which your character noticed the guild's existence could be anything. (Magazine interviews with the members, eavesdropping (overhearing conversation involving the guild), newspaper articles, fliers, etc.) Be creative.
- I expect you to read every post fully, even if the post has nothing to do with your character.
- Posts just need to have an adequate amount of text proportional to their importance. For example, if your character can't do anything but comment, then comment, describe their physical behavior, maybe their thoughts, and that's it. I’d rather not have any one-liners if I can help it.
- Be sure to mention any edits to a RP post in the OOC, and be specific about what you changed. This’ll save the other players time and cut down on confusion.
- Player characters will start at a relatively low power level and grow with the game.

GM Character Sheets: (seregm)Basic Information
-Name: Alicia Hayley
A girl with short, wavy white hair, Alicia stands at a mere 5' 2" and is rather lightweight for her height. Her eyes are colored in a sky blue, and her skin is rather pale, and it tends to stay this way no matter how much sun the girl gets. Alicia is rather skinny, yet somewhat toned; though her skinniness, in combination with her skin color, makes her look somewhat fragile. As far as clothing is concerned, Alicia normally sports a modified bodice (see picture, minus the straps) in a light grey color and is almost never found wearing less than two belts (one dark grey and one white, each with silver buckles) over her pants which are matching in hue to that of her bodice. Her shoes are simple (dark grey) adventuring boots with short heels that slip on, that of which her pants are tucked into. (Clothing with loose ends is unacceptable wear in Alicia's mind.) Her arms (and hands) are left bare, save for the Infinite Serenade tattoo, which is located on the side of girl's left arm, right at the shoulder.
Slung over her left shoulder is a dark grey quiver (with matching strap) filled with a seemingly-endless supply of steel-shafted arrows; and over her right is where she normally carries her bow, a simple weapon made of a flexible, almost indestructible, dark hued wood. The bow's size is somewhere between that of a shortbow and a longbow. (Mediumbow?)Alicia Hayley Personal Information
Alicia is a stoic, intelligent girl with a headstrong streak. She does not like being told what to do ('suggestions' are tolerable), and in battle she pays little heed to near-critically injuring her opponent, though she will not go as far as end said foe's life. (She tries a little harder now to do less damage to her enemy due to her relationship with Ciara McClellan, but she doesn't try *too* hard.) Alicia is also a shrewd businesswoman, always making sure to get paid for anything that she does for another party. This is not to say that she is money-hungry, however.
Alicia is fond of exploring new places and reading non-fiction books during her down time. She also has a thing for listening to peaceful music, and while she will refuse to admit it, she likes checking out tall guys with dark hair.
Alicia is considered an archer without equal. She has peerless skill with her bow and arrows, being able to use two in the most creative of ways, some of which include firing multiple missiles (up to four) with a single shot and using her steel arrows as viable daggers if needed.
Recently Alicia was taught a bit of wind magic by a traveling mage, and she mainly uses this magic in conjunction with her archery skill to augment the speed and accuracy of her shots. She can also summon multiple blades of wind that can inflict shallow cuts from a distance, though usage of such an attack is quite rare.Other Information
