Doctress Who wrote:Sure, go for it. As I said, I'm not looking for a historically-correct RP, but one with a very strong Victorian influence. Since it's set on a different world, it is quite possible to have a mixture of things from different Eras in there.

Huzzah!

I can now make a RP character that is completely ass backwards from the other ones I normally do.
Stufflikehearts - He is a Sith Lord. I love Blood Lord :3
Jeffffey - Blood, you look at the information someone says, look over what really happened, and reply in a way that makes them realize what they were really thinking.
Light10s - Blood Lord! Your avatars are becoming more epic. You make me feel like getting on all fours and submitting my loyalty and obedience to you.
Fievel - Numerous campaigns and conquests, countless bodies decaying after the abandonment of victorious battlefields. Such is the life of Blood Lord.
Dusk_Imp - Blood Lord is like a celebrity here. Everything he does is pure awesome. ALL HAIL BLOOD LORD
Doctress Who - Why couldn't there be a Blood Lord in every forum? It would make life so much easier.

Name: Kevin Skull.

Age: 67

Gender: Male

Race: Human…ish.

Appearance: http://www.citv.co.uk/static/skulduggery1.jpg Speaks for itself. 6 foot 6.

Aims: Ruling. He believes that he is the right man for the job and can sort out the mess. He wishes to impose his rule on the city, he saw the sickness and decay in it and is willing to go to any lengths to take control in the long run. He respects the imperium and their power but since they're now the leaders he needs them out of the way, not that he's stupid enough to take any one of them on directly. He wouldn't do that unless he was sure no one could pin him to their death and that he could definately take them out. In the meanwhile he'll happily be a willing assisstant and loyal worker for them, doing any little job they ask of him if it can involve him getting in their favour.

Alignment: Neutral, neutral. Leaning really towards evil. He’s a “for the greater good” kind of person.

Occupation/Status: A policeman, rank being a superintendent. He’s waiting for the old chief superintendent to pass away or retire and promote him to chief in his place, he doesn't think it'll take long as the chief is 62 and has gotten a bit doddery. He’s happy to do missions against the rebellion to rise up the ranks and gain power. He respects the rebellion’s aims but disagrees with their methods. He’s going to work up through the system and take it over from the inside.

Personality: He used to be a happy, cheerful and sarcastic/joking friendly guy, always willing to do the right thing like help little old ladies across the street and picking up litter. He then turned into a brutal, alcoholic and smoking, angry, pessimistic, untrusting bastard who would instead wait to see if anyone wouldn’t let the little old lady cross and then add them to the rubbish. After his death he returned to normal a bit more, but kept his darker side, he sorta became schizophrenic.

Weapons/equipment: Two pistols, three throwing knives and a pair of knuckle dusters. One necklace that hangs out from the rest of his clothes, there is a ruby inside and when pushed it amplifies his powers.

Powers/magic: Elemental control.
He can create fire from creating friction by snapping his fingers, the fire can quickly grow and he can control it from there.
He can suck out the moisture from the air but he can’t make a lot of it so there isn’t a lot of it that he can use, so it’s really useless unless it’s raining or there’s a river or the like around.
There’s plenty of air to use.
There's normally plenty of earth as well but it has a secondary abillity that is purely defensive. He basically turns into a statue but he can’t turn back out on control, he’ll stay like that for either 1-12 hours or unless another elemental wakes him up or unless someone pushes the ruby inside his necklace which will snap him out of it.
The more of the elemental amount he is controling, the less controlled and more wild it is, if he is using two or more elements at once it takes a significant dip in power and control as well.

History: He lived a normal life up until he was twenty-two. Before that he had average grades and the rest, he’d always wanted to be a cop so he applied for that. He was taught combat training and the rest and learnt that for three years, he then joined the actual police fore when he was 19, determined to help the city and to do good. Of course, after seeing the underside of the city, his cheerful personality and willingness to see the good in people started to take a few knocks and began to wobble. He began to question his orders and became overly violent. Oddly enough, even though his behaviour deteriorated, his success rate in finding and capturing his target’s nearly doubled and he was promoted to Sergeant when he was 21. His new-found cynicism remained and he dived into his work, focusing on taking down the scum of the city and letting his social life wither and rot.

One day he came across an old target, Adrian Heath, caught two year’s ago, imprisoned for twenty years, crime, killed a man, a woman and a 6 year-old daughter, he’d tried to rob them, the kid had woke up, she’d screamed, he’d silenced them. After proceeding to rough him up,
well, actually, break his legs, one arm, four fingers, five ribs and turn his face purple and red, he shouldn’t have run,
He dragged him back to his apartment and proceeded to….question him. He discovered that he’d been let off for giving out information about other criminals and snitching on everyone he could, Skull’s superiors had then used this information to capture the criminals and make themselves look good. Skull wasn’t happy about this. By Adrian getting out by ratting out other people, to Skull, he’d been let off for doing evil, by doing more evil, and he couldn’t stand that, so he dragged him back out, tied rocks to his feet and threw him into the river.

He then confronted his superiors about this and threatened to tell their superiors and some other dirty deeds he’d discovered from Adrian that they’d participated in. Funnily enough, that one small act of trust that they wouldn’t do anything but sit helplessly and accept their fate and indulging himself in the look on their faces led to him not even getting out the door. After a brief cover-up and a quiet and secluded funeral, time passed. A few people visited his grave, mainly family members and people he had squeezed information from, they came to dance on it, piss on it and spit on it, sometimes all at the same time.

After a 11 and a half month’s, he woke up and wondered why he felt so funny, why it was so dark and cramped and why everything smelt of earth, rot and pee. It took him two weeks to slowly dig out, thinking only of fresh air, a cigarette, booze and the feel of the sun on his skin. When he got out he noticed the factory beside him where his favourite bar used to be, the cold and freezing wind blowing the smog towards him, the cold rain and the screaming congregation and angry priest two graves over.

After sorting that mess out and borrowing the priests spare robe he marched right through the packed streets towards the police station. Funnily enough, no one decided to get in his way or stop him at all, it may have had something to do with the fact he was an angry-looking skeleton striding through the freezing rain and wind dressed in a large black robe which was really too big for him.
When he reached the police station, he broke the locked door down, broke two cops arms when they got in his way, marched into his superiors office and gave one of them a heart attack immediately and the other one a heart attack after he started screaming in rage about revenge and retribution for his crimes. He yelled and ranted for another five minutes before he realised they were dead, this pissed Kevin off a lot as he’d really been looking forward to it, so he walked back downstairs, grabbed the nearest person in handcuffs, dragged them kicking and screaming into the room with the two dead superiors and shouted at him for half an hour. The jaywalker proceeded to wet himself, soil himself and pass out three times and was slapped awake each time by Kevin.

After that and sorting out a lot of paperwork, he got his job back, found a new apartment and bar, went round to all his old squeezes houses to say hello and enjoy scaring the hell out of them and started practising magic. All the high-ups knew magic as a requirement so he decided that since he probably wasn’t going to die of old age, then he should think ahead and start learning. He discovered a natural talent for the elements and spent his days off practising and honing his skills for five years, the rest of the time up until present day, is history.

’Previous life’ History: In his previous life it was a lot like his original life, he became a cop and tried to help the world, but unlike his counterpart, he did not become cynical and depressed, no, instead he remained happy and proud and moral and faithful to the system and his superiors, right up until he was framed. He had been trying to find out about a child molester and murderer and had been spending most of his nights at the office, sometimes he wouldn’t even return home for a few days, instead sleeping at his desk, so did his heart blaze for justice and retribution against this fiend.

Unfortunately, this fiend happened to be rather powerful, influential and knowledgeable of those who were conspiring against him, it was an easy matter for him to plant some substantial fake evidence in Kevin’s vacant apartment. After a brief, unfair and frankly embarrassing trial against Kevin, he was sentenced to death row, to be executed at the young age of 22, 11 and a half months after his trial. I will not mention the punishments and cruelties he suffered in prison, as he was not only a child killer, but an ex-cop, two forms of being which will promise to make any stay in a prison troublesome.

He took to not eating his food as the in-mates and guards often spat in it and he didn’t trust any food that was in contact with a bunch of judgemental, lonely thug’s and ex-con’s biological fluids. The night before his execution he was a skinny wraith of a man, a shadow of his former self, delirious with hunger and full of self-anger and loathing and hatred. When one of his more vivid hallucinations offered him a chance of escape he gleefully decided to give it a shot, he’d already been promised freedom from two previous ones but none as well-dressed as this Victorian gentleman.

I'd like to have a go at this... if the creator does not mind that is. ;) If there are any details bothering you, please contact me and I'll hopefully fix them on time.

Completed.

Name: Barty Lithowitz

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Race: Mer Type Two (humanoid with Mer blood)

Type One: Show dominance of Mer blood, with features that includes a scaly complexion, protruding gills and an incredibly angular face that creates the "empty fish" appearance. Their human-features are barely present as the slimy-like skin and lack of hair makes them definitely fish-like. Type Ones usually die unless in constant contact with water, making them bound to the sea or any body of water that isn't contaminated. They are often considered rejects, but only because the Mer beauty is more prominent in this type.

Type Two: Human features are dominant over Mer-features, and gills work as a secondary set of breathing organs that remain in stasis unless triggered by water. Unless you look closely at the suppressed features, you won't be able to tell the difference. Such features would be sleek/fine body/head hair, larger pupils and irises, slits on the neck, and webbed feet. This type of mixed Mer is considered hideous in the Mer race, and those borne as a Type Two are often abandoned. Type Twos are more common, especially when more human blood is mixed with the Mer, and a mark appears on Type Twos when the Mer blood becomes stronger. The mark itself appears on a visible place, like a brand of sort, and is original per person.

Appearance: Barty stands at the midline height of 5'6," her body built with streamline-like qualities. With a long neck, thin frame (bust also small due to Mer-qualities), and piano-like fingers, she appears delicate. Her hair is short, black, and sleek, controlled with a waterproof wax, while her eyes are a deeper than notable blue, almost blending with the black of her pupils. With a naturally dark complexion she blends in with the Victorian world's darker features, and is perfectly capable of remaining unseen in the night.

She wears the clothes of a newspaper boy. Barty dresses in a crisp but weathered collared long sleeved shirt, fitted dark-gray waistcoat (aka vest), and black/brown pair of trousers worn like so, held up by a pair of bracers (aka suspenders). Adorned on her legs and feet are fine-threaded black socks, and a pair of worn but comfortably broken in shoes.

She wears a breathable choker that her mother gifted Barty on her 16th birthday, which cleanly hides the gill slits. Made of a special material that belongs to the Mer, and does not hinder her second set of nostrils at all.

Aims: Her current aim is to enjoy the little she has, make ends meet with her natural talents and knacks, and find out the truth of Myriat and Merchurdon in the midst of the Imperium's takeover.

Alignment: Neutrally Chaotic.

Occupation/Status: She belongs to the working class, and is a Messenger/Paperboy for her father's printing press the Peeping Eye.

Personality: Barty's a smiler, often found laughing when people become baffled by her odd sounding name, cheerfully smirking with mischief in her gleaming eyes. Despite her thin body and delicate features, she's the type to crave for fun, fantastical action, and the ability to show everyone what she's got. An exhibitionist with a sense of class, she knows when to perform, when to back out, and when to blend into the shadows. Often times her outspoken attitude and body language leave people believing her to be boyish, and she won't deny that either.

She's a people person, and loves to talk, socialize, and charm her fellow citizens with her way of words. A charismatic young woman whose charms can soften the most tightly bound, she's in her element when in the crowd. Due to her outspokenness, she often invites trouble without thinking of it. However, she does not mind that, because it's in her nature to cause some mild trouble.

Often times she has a "knack" of knowing things (due to her occupation and family occupation), and has the curiosity necessary to look for the truth. Growing up in a family and work setting that always searched and questioned, she has the innate drive of wanting to know. And that is what Barty is: street smart, people smart, and intuitively on top.

Weapons/equipment: The following are her weapons/equipment:

1) Webbed leather gloves: Meant to mimic the webbed-qualities of her feet, she has these not only to protect her hands, but to enable total control in the water. Not only that, but they're padded in the right areas, so if she wants to swing a hook, she can without having to worry too much about it hurting. Unless it's to a wall. Then she should.

2) Messenger Bag: It holds her essentials, work items, and has a water bag made of hardy material. It hooks itself in with manual clasps, and can be cleaned, the nozzle of the water bag accessible even while attached to the bag. Its strap and build makes it so that it remains secure on her body while on deliveries, and makes the load easier to carry.

3) Communication Ring: One piece of a set of two that both her mother and father possessed. A symbolic set that symbolized eternal wedding ties, it was a means of always being together even when apart. It's an artifact set that her mother had from her estranged family, that of which she kept close. Due to her mother's death, Barty's father gave the ring to his daughter, as a means for them both to stay close and in touch. Barty keeps it as a physical keepsake of her mother, hung around her neck and hidden beneath her clothes.

4) Second-eyelids: They're actually a part of her biological make-up, but considered a piece of equipment on her body. They work like goggles, enabling her to see clearly in the water with its mucous layer, and are barely visible beneath the first set of eyelids she has.

5) Gill-slits: She has two sets of these on her neck, both of which are hidden by the collar of her shirt. Acting like a second breathing organ, they are closed while above water. When submerged, all she needs to do is keep her mouth sealed, and breathe through this second set of nostrils. However, she needs to consciously keep them closed. Otherwise, she can suffocate above water.

6) Webbed feet: Like a pair of flippers they enable her to move at incredible speeds beneath the water, and are made of sturdy folds of skin and softer bones.

Powers/magic:

1) Adept underwater combatant/acrobat/swimmer: Her body is and meant to be in water, and once she's underwater, it's her playground. With her webbed feet and her gills, her ability to fight and move in the water is phenomenal. However, if the water she swims in is too contaminated, or is too hot or cold, her body may be unable to take the conditions, and could even be fatal.

2) Mer-Water: This is the ability of the Mer, and any who possess strong traces of Mer blood. Barty can control certain quantities of water, as long as it's mostly clean, and drinkable. If the contents of the water are too polluted with alien material, she cannot control it unless she "filters" it (a process that takes too much time and effort for her to consider unless it is a last option). The larger the quantity of water, the more it takes to wield it. She tries to not test her limits, knowing that it's physically taxing, and tends to use this ability as a mere parlor trick to earn a few coins.

When on the run, she uses this as means of self-defense, hurling water at the eyes of her opponents, or down their throats to make them go into coughing fits. Even as a distraction.

This power unfortunately does not work as a healing factor, as there are too many alien components in a body to be able to properly control them. The only way she'd be capable of such ability would be to enact and empower the Mer blood in her veins. And that is something she cannot do. At least, not on her own.

3) Mer-Song: This is an ability that her mother possessed, which worked as a form of hypnosis towards any "attracted" to the singer. However, Barty does not have the active form of this ability. This power is passive, and works with Barty's already present charisma and people-friendly attitude, capable of drawing attention from crowds of passersby. This is especially more prevalent when laughing and positively influential.

History:

She is a second-generation Mer humanoid, borne in the love and care of the Lithowitz family, her father a human, the mother Half-Mer. Her father Adam is a Printer, who owns a popular printing press that produces the Peering Eye, a currents events newspaper that often questions certain parties of powers through the opinions of their journalists and writers. Her mother Ar is Half-Mer, whose features make her incredibly alien, but incredibly gorgeous, with fair glistening skin and warm black eyes. Before she became a homebody, Ar was a performing singer whose voice could be heard from the water, who sang tales of the Mer, an enigmatic race in the world of Myriat. However, Ar rarely performs, especially after giving birth to one healthy Barty, a delivery that did more than enough to make the Half-Mer weak.

Barty seemed mostly human, built solid and like her father, making her parents believe her to be mostly human (bringing some relief to her mother). Her childhood was mostly uneventful, not aware at all about the corruption and dark things that were happening. Such is the innocence of youth, but things changed upon puberty. The Mer blood suddenly spiked on the first full moon of her 16th year, and she went through the slow process of inheriting her Mer features. Her eyes grew strange, her hair thinned, and her body slowly shrank, grew, and strengthened in odd ways. One day as she bathed she submerged in the water, and didn't realize until two minutes being beneath the water that she was breathing. Through a newly opened set of gills. In panic she screamed, causing her parents to barge in (her mother then escorting her baffled father in the midst of their now crying/blushing daughter).

Thankfully, things were explained, and Barty's confusion of the changes were settled. Whatever physical changes were blamed on puberty, and whatever physical changes Barty was able to hide with clothing. During her later adolescent years, she and her father lost mother Ar to Mer-Fire (aka a severe fever), a rare and fatalistic condition to anyone with Mer blood. Deterred by her mother's death, and considerate of her father's loss, Barty went through school, and then began to work under her father by delivering his important documents and papers to and from clients. Soon enough her clientele grew, and she acquired a well-earned reputation of being one of the most reliable Messengers in the vicinity. Due to the constant exposure to society, as well as her father's influence, she's savvy about events, happenstances and rumors around the city and worldly events.

Though due to recent events, especially with the rise of the Imperium, she's begun wonder about her father, especially as opinions against the Imperium grew stronger and stronger in the written pieces in recent editions. Controversy and tension started to build up in the staff of the Peering Eye during this year, and when Barty gets the bad feeling, it only can be a bad sign.

’Previous life’ History:

Barty was always Barty, only her life was full of distraught. With a family that was torn apart by the community's bad inter-gang activity, she was an active journalist and unofficial investigator/meddler. Her original intent was to find ways to understand the situation, and to give said information to the authorities to slowly filter out the bad stuff that caused trouble to the neighborhoods and families affected. Her commitment has led to successful drug raids and infiltration, and betterment of her family's altogether safety.

Every day was a risk, but the scoop was worth the trouble.

But while on the job, on an odder day, she felt something... strange in her gut. As if something bad was going to happen. Something... wrong. It was unexplainable, and yet, it was something that unsettled her. Little did she know a gang war would re-trigger the violence once calmed down, and had she not taken the Stranger's hand, she would have been caught in the crossfire.

Ah oh yeah, I knew that. I thought it was appropriate as Illithids feed on brains and it's quirky enough to be attatched to my mime :P.

Edit: Hopefully finished CS.

However, you did warn anyone who dared read it. I'm just going to wait for a while before I try to read it again. Interesting character nevertheless.

Name: Gandora the tormentor

Age: unknown

Gender: appears male

Race: Soul Demon: A type of demon created from the soul of a human. When a human dies, and a dark mages summon sup their soul, darkness enters the soul, twisting it, deforming it, giving it a new shape, a new form, a new power. If that soul finds a living body, it can take that body over, and transform that body to fit it’s needs.

Appearance: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oPqcjlJkAsI/S ... 600000.jpg

Pretty much exactly the same as shown, except for his skin being white, it’s black. No partial sleeve, but the bottom part of his outfit is the same except white. No sword. Hair is also white, with black streaks. No hole in it’s chest.

Aims: The destruction of everything, therefore neutral. Will not hesitate to kill imperium, or none-imperium.

Alignment: Chaotic

Occupation/Status: Destroyer of all living things.

Personality: Gandora has the same level of intelligence as a normal man. It can think, talk, plan, feel emotions, feel pain, etc. It’s bloodlust, however, is monumental. It will go on random killing sprees of innocent people, and agents of the imperium alike. Although it does feel emotion, it has been alone since the begging of it’s existence, and knows no such emotion as sorrow, or guilt. It longs for no companions, and only wishes to wipe everything clean of the face of the planet. Since Gandora is intelligent, it does know how to control itself, and can be quite docile most of the time.

Weapons/equipment: Weapons: Gandora wields multiple weapons, each for certain purposes. It wields a large, kunai-knife like dagger, similar to this: http://souleater.wikia.com/wiki/File:Sh ... Shadow.png

This weapons is used in combination with it’s fists.

It also wields a sickle-like blade with a chain attached to the end, similar to this: http://souleater.wikia.com/wiki/File:Sh ... _Chain.jpg

This is used for mid to far ranged opponents, but it can also be used for close range.

Powers/magic: Gandora has amazing speed, and massive power, which it focuses into it’s fists and legs. It also has the ability to regenerate any lost limbs, with the exception of it’s head. It’s internal organs are also susceptible to irreversible damage.

History: Gandora only remembers one thing: A message: “Destroy to your hearts content, my child. Kill, and grow strong. Destroy everything in sight…make me proud.” A message from it creator, it’s master. That must be it. And so it will happen. And so it did happen. Gandora spent it’s entire “life” in Myriat killing, and hiding.

Previous life’ History: Gandora was a king among kings, ruling vast, distant lands…that is, until he was killed by a revolt. His soul was summoned up by a dark mage, and he was transformed into Gandora. As Gandora, it’s vast hatred contained in it’s soul made it want to wipe things away…wipe everything away, and start afresh. Create a new world, then wipe that one out after. A continuous cycle that would bring Gandora pleasure till the end of time. It sought to make it’s plan a reality, until the day that the stranger came…Gandora feared nothing, not even death. It had died once before…yet something compelled it to take the stranger’s hand. And so it did.

Doctress...

From the number of characters here, I assume that it's discouraged to make a second character as of now, despite you saying it's fine to have 2 CS's, right?

Yeah. To be honest I wasn't expecting so many people!
I think it should be limited to one character, at least for now. I may still allow 2 CS's once we've gotten a little into the IC, though.

And sorry about the delay in seeing to everyone's CS's, guys. I've been quite busy as of late, and have quite a few commitments, both inside the RP forum and irl. Please be patient while I sort some things out D:

Update a small bit about my CS.
Due to being busy with homework, I'll probably be finishing around next week or some other time. :]
Listen.

I'm thinking a Fullmetal Alchemist type arm on my character. Would that be alright?
You... you really don't get it... do you? I... I love him... I'd die with him. Or for him. That's what you do... how you feel when you love someone. - Impulse

Why not?

I've never watched Fullmetal Alchemist, so I will need a better explanation. You can PM me your ideas, if you like.

A metal arm basically, I think that's what Tragedy meant.

And how would such a metal arm be operated?

Could be magic as well. Thats what alchemy basically is, isn't it? a fusion of science and magic, and if there's walking skeletons, a metal/magic arm can't be too far-fetched.
