No, but that may not be important to the question of how Junior got Grim's powers. In fact, we don't know that the powers are inherited, it could be an assigned role, not an inherited one.

I was wondering that myself ryley (few posts back), maybe because he is an undead skeleton, or maybe Grim just had that effect on him because he was Junior's adopted father, I'm sure that happens in the underworld, if you're in a certain place of power then you get powers, we saw that Minnie got a scythe too so it must have something to do with them being his legal or spiritual children.

There's also the chance that he doesn't have reaper powers and reaping is something you can learn and he only got a scythe like nergal appearence because he thought he was grims biological son so his psyce manipulated them to form like that.

There is no undead Mimi. He meant to say Minnie.

Note the similarities in the name, and it is really easy to spell one as the other on accident.


Well, we did theorize that there was some kind of ritual that turned Jr from an aborted baby into an undead skeleton. In that ritual it might have been possible to infuse Jr with the Reaper powers, or the powers leaked out from the scythe, and are a by-product of the ritual.

Now originally (assuming that the powers were infused into him on purpose), I guess that the powers were only suppose to unlock once Jr was at the right age. Sufficient time would have passed to have Grim teach his son to correctly use them.

But I guess with the introduction of the Nergal Demon, this tripped the powers to active prematurely. Allowing him to become the Nergal Reaper Hybrid.

Why would Bleedman call two characters so similarly? I would've prefered if the red girl was called Her.

Its easier to all Mimi "Her".

Why the change?

Hell if I know. I usually caller Mimi "Her" when she is in her Demon form.

But what about when she's not in her demon form?
The name 'Mimi' humanises her. 'Her' would only have been an appropriate name if she had remained a villian, as villians are often given names like 'Him/her/it/they' to de-humanise them, and to make them more of a threat.

I'm still disappointed in that scythe. So much potential for symbolism. Junior's scythe as a manifestation of his sister's anger?

Minnie didn't "get" a scythe, though, she just formed one. It could have been a sword or a knife, it just happened to be a scythe. I'm guessing that either Her gave her that ability as an extension of her Wrath, or somehow Minnie retained the ability to form weapons from her soul, as with the sword she used against the Reapinator.

Probably the Her thing due to the red lightning around it when it appeared. And maybe she borrowed the sword from the angel dude.

I call her Mimi.



I grew up her with knowing her as "Her" the daughter of Him. That was way back then before we even saw her in the comic. So its a habit for me.

I'm going with the idea that Mimi generated it for Minnie. And she took a sword from heaven.

I do agree with the symbolize with the scythe.

I hadn't thought of that. And actually, it does look somewhat like the Redeemer's sword. Still, I think she produced it from the same place the Redeemer did, from nowhere.

Honestly, I think the reason for the sudden appearance of the sword is that Bleedman had already drawn it, and threw the sword in on the preceeding pages for continuity.

Will Jr grew up? I mean Just because Minie is staying young doesn't mean that Jr has to. Plus, Grim got older as well in the show.

Jr will grow up.

Physically because of the Nergal Demon showing him as a human, and as you said. Grim grows as well.

I just hope the little bastard grew up mentally, and emotionally as well.

Holy shit if there ever was a shadow of doubt that I wouldn't read the comic thanks to Jr being a pussy, I take it back. Jr looks sooooo badass with the wings. And I'm guessing he's developed some powers as well.
