Maybe in the EU servers, but not on the NA. Pink wards have always been allowed for us.

I can see why you say that. US server rules are way different from EU servers rules.

Still, the video showing the map and explaining things shows that they picked the EU servers rules.

I understand the logic behind it, but at the same time, I've seen plenty of Eves and Twitches dominate in ARAM even with pink wards being dropped. Not only that but you can just have your tanky guys get Oracles and have them remove the pink wards.

they change animations, sounds and in this case, add completely new mechanics.

So overall, no, they dont do anything else but be badass.
